Born in 1987 is now considered “that damn old?.”
Shit, I must be ancient then.
I think he his a fan since 87, not born in 87. Whatever.

@RussTCB, I forgot: You totally nailed it regarding Pantera. I 100% agree with everything you said.

Great podcast. I directly jumped into episode 6 and will definitely check out the previous issues as well.
But what’s the whole Maroon 5 talking? 😄 They are not very famous in Europe and I always thought of them like a kind of Backstreet Boys band. Am I wrong?
... yeah, I know Adam Levine did sing in Slashs solo record and I think its a great track. But besides ...?

I and many others were waiting to see if they play some new songs tonight until buying tickets to see the "new chapter" tour. Well I have seen NITL 4 times and Im not going to see the same show with worse vocals for the 5th time.
Disapointed.
This. I am very happy that I had been patient and didn’t spent any money on the upcoming gigs in Germany. Today I decided that I definitely won’t go.

Well, Marc Canter opened his vault a little bit for this BBC documentary from 2016, if I do remember right.
I think there was some footage from the Street Scene Festival for example.

But thats clearly some news team footage, no proshot. I doubt there is pro footage of this gig.
No doubt. But this gives an idea of Marc Canters material.
Anyway, it is even such a bigger shame that there’s so many various footage rotting in so many various vaults which we will never se, be it in GNRs vaults, in Canter‘s one, in the ones of TV stations or wherever.

Awesome!!!
But every time something like this pops up you can literally see what’s rotting in the vaults. Such a shame.

Hi guys,
I am just learning Nightrain but unfortunately I cannot figure out this little lick Slash plays during the verse section.
Here it is at 1:03
And here you can see it at 0:47
I think the second one might be 5-3-0 on string b. But I might be wrong and besides I do think the lick in the first video sounds better.
Do you know what to play? I appreciate your help very much.
Thanks.

... and four years after the reunion they (still need to) promote the year 2020 with a song from 1987

1, Richard‘s post once again approves that irony does not work in writing. If you would have seen him smile whilst giving that answer, you would have laughed instead of crying how rude and mean he is. I met him in person and can tell you that he isn’t. He is one nice and gentle guy who takes his time to talk to fans.
2. If Fernando Potato (or whatever his name is) isn’t even able to ask his question in a clear way, let alone in a charming way, I totally get that 4tus had zero motivation to give any response in such a way. I laughed about his answer. In fact, it was clever ... other than the previous harsh and unspecified question.

Other than within the last years, you can still buy tickets regularly for all categories for all 2020 concerts in Germany (Hamburg and Munich).
Obviously, the average Joes aren’t interested anymore.
By the way, ticket prices are ridiculous.
Not in this lifetime I would have ever thought that I am gonna skip a GNR tour through my country. But at this stage, in no way I am gonna go in 2020. I might change my opinion if a new album drops from the sky or something else dramatically changes, e.g. Axl can sing again.

Wow. Thanks. I am really looking forward to this!

I posted it a few weeks back. The name of individual legs doesn’t mean anything. Even the legs of the 91-93 world tour(s) had various names but in the end it was all the UYI tour.

All good, bro.
I totally understand. This situation is a total mess. I am really sorry especially for you and everyone involved in mygnr.
I think this a good situation to say Thank you very, very much for everything and please keep heads up, @downzy @RussTCB and everyone else!

I think you need to re-read my post. No where did I state that TB or GNR asked us to take down links and prevent discussion of videos posted on YouTube.
Also read the notice I posted over a week ago:
Read this and come back if you still have questions.
No offense was meant to be done.
It was just a misunderstanding. RussTcb was gentle enough to clarify this with one sentence.

I still think @FRANSAD s idea of making a video which sums up everything that happened is still a very good idea.
It should only present facts in chronological order and be 15 minutes at max. It must be done very good and should be spread over the internet on many channels as possible.

TB told us that allowing discussion of leaks was the sane thing as allowing links to leaks, in their opinion. They never said we couldn't allow discussion of youtube videos.
My bad. Thanks for clarifying.

I would be careful with the deductions you're making. Having a wonky or dubious grasp on legal responsibility or liability doesn't necessary equate complicity in the video takedowns.
Everyone is welcome to their own opinion, but here is mine on the matter.
I truly do not believe that GNR, Universal, or members of GNR management are behind the rash of video takedowns and copyright complaints. From a financial and PR perspective it would make no sense.
Unless things have really come off the rails, you don't ask for people to post concert videos taken on a cell phone to Instagram and other social media platforms at the same time you're coordinating or supporting nutjobs and degenerates to take those very same videos down.
As much as anyone might take with the decisions GNR and management makes with respect to everything else, it's difficult to see or believe that this new normal is the work of, or has tacit approval of, anyone connected with GNR. My opinion is based on what I see in front of me along with my what I've been able to discern and infer in my brief and infrequent communications with GNR management (which, at this point, are nonexistent as a result of our last communications).
If there's any blame to be levelled towards GNR concerting this matter it should directed at how little concern or effort is publicly demonstrated about what's been going on.
The reality is that those suspected of taking down videos through abusing the copyright system are known to members of TB. There's a level of protection for one of them, as has been evident on GNR's official fan forum. There was also shelter provided to one of the suspected individuals way back when GNR ran that weird paradisecity.com platform (I still have no idea what exactly that site was suppose to be about).
Undoubtedly there's a lot of smoke about this issue that GNR does nothing to help clear up. But we have to be careful about saying that the fire is definite and unequivocal. I might have a bit more exposure to all of this than most (and I emphasis the bit part of this statement), but even knowing what I know I still feel uncomfortable accusing TB, GNR or anyone officially connected to the band as having a hand on the wheel when it comes to all of this.
Whatever Axl's are.
My understanding of your first post within this thread was that TB even asked you not to discuss any YT videos at mygnrforum.com.
Now your stating that - in your opinion- neither GNR nor the management have anything to do with the takedowns. I am confused.

Beside the fact that the Europe gigs will be cancelled anyway, I am so happy that I did not buy tickets for this „all new show“ by which „the next chapter“ begins. This goes even in the event if they would have added this stupid 20 year old Hardschool song to the setlist and/or played So Fine/Pretty tied up.
Its a shame, nothing but a shame.
And yes, I do know that this was a festival gig. But this isn’t any argument, I accept as an excuse. Remember RiR 91?!
