  1. I am not through this whole thread yet. But why do you guys address all your fuck yous to TB only but not the band?!

TB acts on behalf of the band and they tolerate or even appreciate TB‘s behavior. Everybody who thinks the band is not fully aware of TBs actions and what’s going on is so naive I cannot put it in words.

Please do remember what control freaks especially Axl and Duff are. Furthermore, keep in mind that they separated from all of their former managements because  they did not feel represented right by them. They have an eye on their management. Thats for sure.

Axl, Slash and Duff are fully aware whats going on. But they do not care. Because they still sell out nearly every fucking show and don’t care if some fans in online forums miss their „shitty cell phone videos“ on Youtube.

    Wake up everyone!

  2. I really appreciate that they played Dead Horse. I don’t give a fuck that  the musicians seemed a bit unorganized. BUT dude, Axl’s Mickey voice gave me such a hard time to make through the whole song. It’s just embarrassing.

I understand that he cannot or does not want to sing anymore like he did in the past, at least in GNR. (I witnessed in person that he still has it if he wants to at the Axl/DC show in Hamburg.) But why on earth does he not just sing every single song in his deep voice like he does on ISE or the begging/end of Dead Horse?! He would still sound like the original Axl Rose and not like a Disney character. I just don’t get it and it drives me crazy.

Half of the fan base should be happy about Slash and Duff being back in the band, and playing great shows with Coma and Locomotive, as well as other deep cuts. The other half should be happy about the 19 discs of unheard material from CD sessions we just got. Everybody should be happy about the strong rumours that there will be a release in 2020. But of course, GN'R fans are a bunch of miserable assholes so if there is one thing we can always count on is that whatever happen there will always be very vocal complainers. Now it seems like toy trucks is a big issue, or the perpetual fact that Steven isn't in the band.

No offense. I really do appreciate all your contributions.

But what „other deep cuts“ are you talking about?

What’s your definition of a deep cut? Every song that wasn’t a single?!

  4. I think this Rick guy - in polite words - does not behave very clever. Besides, The fact that he seems to belong to this inner circle of people who have threatened families and are responsible for all the youtube takedowns destroyed my last bit of sympathy I had for him.

Anyway, Even if I don’t have zero interest in the leaks, I think this whole topic is quite interesting because it (once again) speaks volumes in terms of GNRs management:

This is because - at least from my understanding - there have been two public sales of the 19 CDs  before the songs leaked, first the initial auction and then afterwards the deal with Rick (and his friends).

My first question is: Why the heck didn’t TB stop the deals and/or bought the CDs themselves to prevent damage from their clients? In addition some legal paperwork could have been filed to the sellers to avoid the risk that they sell or leak any copies of the CDs content they might have created before the deals.

Rick has stated that he informed TB at least about the second deal. Hence, they have been aware but obviously did ... NOTHING!

And now they do wonder that these 19 CDs are circulating?!

I think this a very important aspect when asking why GNR didn’t start any legal actions against Rick. Because I expect every judge in the world will ask the very question I asked above.

    My second question is:

Even if we imply TB wasn’t aware of neither the original auction nor the deal afterwards, how the hell can this be?! How can fans know that 19 CDs of highly sought unreleased material is offered for sale in public multiple times and the band’s „management“ didn’t?!

I guess, you get my point.

It's not that simple. Lawsuits drag for a long time, which means that they're expensive, so, even without solid evidence, the party which can afford them is in advantaged position and the pressure is on the other party only for the fact that they're being put through the inconvenience of getting involved with the legal system, paying fees to lawyers etc.

Totally agree. Nevertheless, stating that Rick just got a slap on his wrist instead of going to jail is still wrong.

Some people that go to every show are friends with certain people in Tb. The moment i walked up they were informed. Also July 13 I did reach out to GNR and informed them of the locker situation and no response so I bought it.

Did I get you right? You informed TB about the auction regarding the locker CDs but instead of buying the 19 CDs themselves to protect their client from damage, they let some random guy win the auction?

I'm in the minority of people that thinks he was lucky to only receive a lifetime ban. I am very thankful to whoever got us the new songs but the band is perfectly justified to punish people for having things they aren't supposed to have.

Talking about intellectual property and seeing your avatar:

Aren‘t you the guy who’s artwork has been stolen by GNR for one of their lithos?

The other thing people arent getting is this is unauthorised use of intellectual property.

Its illegal to sell or purchase it.

It doesnt matter if gnr never planned to release it. Its still their property and essentially stolen property.

You are not legally allowed to buy or sell a stolen car can you? Same deal with intellectual property.

This is interesting and quite important. Is this a fact in terms of US law? In Germany the legal situation is a bit different, at least more complicated and not as black or white as you described.

He could have been dragged to the courts, sued or locked up. Banning him from shows is a pretty small consequence for purchasing and distributing unauthorized material. He got a slap on the wrist realistically.

No, he simply got all consequences GNR is able to do. Its not that they decided just to give him a warning or a slap on the wrist instead of taking legal actions. Thing is, you do need evidence for successful legal actions and they don’t got any. For a ban from the shows you don’t need any evidence for anything. All you do need is a ridiculous management and/or a band leader who makes ridiculous decisions. Remember banning a fan from a show because of the fan wearing a Slash shirt?!

Locomotive being played should give every hardcore fan hope that the band still have some setlist tricks up their sleeves in the future! Personally I’d love to see an acoustic set or something later on down the line but for now I’m certainly not complaining.

Damn, this band/brand played the same show for three years and now finally has dusted off ONE single deep cut and you are seriously talking about „setlist tricks“?! It’s ridiculous. 😄
