  1. If you also do need a record player, I recommend the Pro Ject Jukebox E.

Its a decent player including a very good pre amp. Its an plug and play system and the cost/value is top notch.

You don’t need an additional amp. All you need is speakers.

  2. Why is the video still on youtube?

Where are you, Axl‘s „online security  guards“? Are you sleeping?!

You pull the trigger as soon a public live performance goes online (means a shaky cell phone snipet from a stadium gig shot from the 127th row) but you don’t react when Axl is filmed (secretly) in a private situation?! Amateurs 😄

It's taken down? Did he use some footage he has no rights for?

Actually it was a compilation of all the Guns/Izzy related footage we know for years, including lots of audience shots and some official music video snippets  and short (GNR) audio cuts.

To be honest, I saw this comming since the day the documentary was announced here. This is why I watched it immediately. Actually, the takedown took longer than I expected.

Such a shame! The documentary looked like the guy had a lot of work and put some passion into it.

I grabbed one off of Discogs just now. It was listed as being sold from the Russian Federation, so here's hoping it's right. With tax & shipping the total was around $60 USD.

Fingers crossed its not a counterfeit.

Unfortunately, I know various people who made some bad experiences by ordering records from russia. Furthermore, Russia does not belong to the EU and it is infamous for bootleging stuff. Discogs alone list four or five bootleg versions for the CD version of CD made in Russia. At least according to Discogs the vinyl version of CD is not bootleged yet. Hence, you might a have luck 😃

I think yours sound better indeed. Didnt see much difference from what Slash plays actually. Do you think something is missing?

Hi, Unfortunately I did not see your post until now.

There is a misunderstanding :-) I am not the player in those videos. I just tried to figure out what is being played in them.

I actually find it disrespectful that Fernando uses the  heartbreaking events on a worldwide basis as an excuse to not put out a couple of vids....I have not been around here very long and my excitement at finding this band is dissipating pretty quickly.

This is exactly the same I was thinking at the same time :-)

    That comment is hilarious!

If they want to pay respect, start the video with a mobile phone video of Axl saying "we stand with the BLM movement!". Metallica kept releasing their videos and just released a statement at the tip of the video showing solidarity. It's supposed to be an escape from the chaos... that's the point dumb dumb:facepalm: I guess the update on refunds is on hold too because of the protests🤣

Not doing anything and then saying oh it's because we respect you too much... laughable. Admit it, it's just too difficult to do something when you don't make buggar all from it financially. Fuck this disrespectful sham of a band.

This. A comment/statement by Axl or the band right before the video(s) would reach millions of people ... in the majority white people. The band could use their brand to promote anti-racism and act as role models.

But no. Guns N Roses indtead decided to help  black people by simply doing nothing, including not releasing hard rock videos. Its so damn ridiculous.

As a white guy I am just ashamed that this stupid band really has the nerves to even use the black peoples suffering as an excuse for their own mismanagement. This tops it all.

...and that's exactly the point, why they are pretty sure not responsible for the 13 min. YT clip in any way, or do you really think, they would have accepted such a poor in sound and vision edited video ?

Yes, I think they had to accept because its better than nothing. I think, if they hadn’t agreed on this video there would have been no video at all. I think the video is the compromise between Duff/Slash and Axl/TB.

A few youtube videos wont be a deciding factor about gnr‘s legacy. Fernando said himself that the hard drives are stored at his place so i guess he’s the one responsible for that project. Its a small project that i dont think slash would be wasting his time on. But fernando is managing to fuck this up big time.

Its not about a few youtube videos. Its about everything. The youtube thing is just the most recent event which went wrong. Another chance past to to something for the fans and/or their legacy.

Besides, I am just sick of their (management’s) bullshit talking. I mean, just release NITL footage or do not. But do not announce it and then stop it after one single fuckin video. Goddamn.

I do. I don't think slash and Duff are really part of this and probably don't care. I think the YouTube thing is Fernando's thing and the fuck up that he is, he manages to fuck this up aswell. His poor kids having such a fuck up as a father

No offense, but you seriously do believe Slash and Duff (especially Duff) let some nobody like Fernando let decide about GUNS N ROSES’s legacy?!?!

I think they DO care very much about Youtube, live releases etc. They both are on not only on social media but do release (live) records on a regular basis. I think that its all about contractual bullshit and Axl has full control about any potential release. And since Mr. W. Axl Rose is the only person in this b(r)and who wasn’t able to deliver a professional performance,  within a four year reunion nothing official has been released to date ... oh, yeah , besides of a 13 minutes clip with the lead singer (!) cut out.

  11. I said it a million times before:

TB is the most ridiculous management you can think of. No doubt.

BUT: In the end it all comes down to the band (whatever this means in terms of GNR). If they wanted to give us, the fans, s o m e t  h i n g, we would have something. Since they don’t want us to have something we don’t have something. Simple as that.

Do you really think Fernando decides weather or not we get more NITL footage?! Come on!

  12. This still is my wishlist:

I don’t need any remastered version of the UYI albums!

    The boxset should be:

    - demos

    - instrumentals

    - alternative / rough mixes

    - unreleased songs (eg Ain‘t goin down)

    - blu ray: perfect crime documentary (uncensored)

    - blu rays: three unreleased complete gigs; one of 91, 92 and 93 each

    - maybe a photobook, but definitely no tshirts or replica bullshit

    - no reissues of the UYI singles

    - no audio only live shows

The music should be included on vinyl and CD, lets say 4 LPs and 2 CDs.

The price should be 250€/$ max.

Standalone versions of the vinyl/blu rays would be great for those who are interested in specific items only.
