Fair call - I love contraband myself, but for me, the 3rd of CD which I consider genius, was amazing and topped that IMO.

Sometimes band or crew members go out dining near the hotel and post stuff. People who go maximum stalking levels sometimes call the hotel and ask for a specific name

For me, I still get excited watching Rio 2001. Seeing the new vision and new songs. So much hope and new direction. WtF happened? Though, I think we know. The music bigwigs never let the new band flourish cos all they wanted was a reunion and $$$. Wankers 

Rio 2001 with The Blues, pure magic.... N. Rain 2.0 easily. Same here, Slash coming back to fold is the worst thing for gnr.... Before that, axl had something to prove and new music would have been a reality. Best we can hope for is more leaks.

I like what matt S said when he said the first album had a youthful angst feel to it given they had something to prove which I think is a great description. I like it better too, but ultimately different beasts when comparing. I like the pop(tastic)Ness of the second album, seems more polished. Lol, your horrible tracks are some of my favs, guess different strokes sort of thing

Is there a VR pages on this forum? What's the general consensus about them around here? Always thought 2nd album was weak, but listened to it (Libertad) all weekend and think it was misrepresented more so than being a weak album. I reprogrammed the album tracklisting, made it shorter and it's quiet the phenomenonal listening experience. Try it and let me know your thoughts.
