  1. There’s a line in the second letter. Makes it more likely it’s an “e” than an “a”
  2. True. But why are they going around deleting everything then? They do enable him, like it or not.
  3. To the GNR management staff reading this: Please just release new music. It’s done already. It doesn’t need to be some secretive strategic operation. A band releases songs normality. All releasing them does is build good press and good will for the fans and increases ticket sales. It hurts you to not. Worth a shot.
  4. Probably a bad one. Hard Skool was soundchecked every single night until release.
  5. Interestigly, the only two songs I’m getting any sort of search for on Spotify right now are Perhaps and The General. We’ve been down this path so many times before, so I will suppress my excitement and say it means nothing. I want to believe but I can’t
  6. I think it’s more likely they didn’t want to “compete” with the UYI box set.
  7. This has been widely debunked. The closest meaning is that these songs have been uploaded for leak prevention. An actual release though is not a surefire thing.
  8. My best guess is if they edited out the “announcement” specifically we would know exactly why they removed it, and it draws attention to that- so they just took down the entire thing. This whole thing is just bizarre. Do the ends really justify the means for TB here? Did the journalist really deserve to have their whole work deleted? Is this really beneficial to any party? A few dozen fans on the forum got excited, 99% of their audience doesn’t care. It just comes off as draconian and weird.
  9. The part I can’t wrap my head around is why they took down the entire article instead of just editing it.
  10. I really liked I Wanna Be Your Dog. Easily my favorite Duff solo spot.
  11. At this point they know the gig. The only person I really feel bad for is Dizzy. He was around since UYI and worked on those albums. I know he wasn’t one of the most prominent members but he was still there. Not to mention writing a few CD songs. Kinda sucks he’s relegated to touring member status.
  12. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure this is correct.
  13. At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me if TB sends ninjas after people who know anything about new music.
  14. I don’t know my opinion on this. On one hand and in one way or another you might be right. On the other hand- GNR has never taken down the dozens of Richard Fortus or Dizzy interviews where they say something may be soon. They didn’t take down Slash’s outright incorrect interviews where he said new music was on the way. I’m not gonna say it will release, because it’s GNR. But there is a ton of smoke right now. We have the random take downs, Perhaps being soundchecked and The General on setlists. We have Axl and Slash in the studio listening to mixes. But ultimately this band fails every single time to release anything. For any other band I’d say a new album or EP was imminent. For GNR I’d say maybe at best we’ll get 2 more songs by 2025.
  15. The implication of TB taking down anything related to new music like a squad of ninjas is that they likely don’t want people to discuss new music. But focusing on the never ending nostalgia tour and toy trucks and jackets on the other hand…
  16. It’s insanity to me. If it was direct on the page I would get it to at least some degree. But it was barely visible. It almost feels like TB is taking the piss at people who use fan forums like us. We never get new music, and now we can’t even discuss the possibility of it happening? Does TB think that we are really supposed to be this complacent with how this band functions?
  17. It’s hard to let go of the idea of there being a new album because it exists. We know it’s done, we know lots of the song titles, we know how easy and logical it would be to just release it, but for whatever reason they don’t do it. I don’t blame anyone who holds on to hope when we all know it exists.
  18. In my opinion when TB overacts this extremely and gets stuff taken down it only means that whatever it is was related to new music. It’s a very odd and draconian way to go about it, but why else would they care? It’s pretty silly to imagine a journalist taking a photo of a setlist that had a very faint “The General” on it would prompt a take down of the photo but that’s the reality of this band and really isn’t far off from the Streisand effect.
  19. So many years pass and it’s really not a big deal anymore. I’m sure everyone is chill with eachother.
  20. The real explanation as far as I’m concerned, as someone who heavily followed and participated in this, is the following: These songs are “in the system” so to speak, for leak prevention (this was sourced somewhere). The algorithim theory has way too many holes in it. Lots of us searched “Guns n Roses Red Panda” every day to see if we could skew the algorithim, and it not once brought up the band after weeks. Not to mention at most the amount of people searching for this stuff would be probably a few dozen nerds, with the vast, vast majority of people not knowing stuff as obscure as Cuban Skies and RealDoll. There were possible holes in the theory though- for instance, DJ Ashba’s “Ballad of Death” would show up- this was explained though via the fact the two parties would’ve had a connection via the A4Democracy DVD. Stuff like “Going Down”, which is a known completed unreleased song, yielded nothing. As such, any exceptions were pretty easily explained. The songs being in the system doesn’t mean anything though, besides just the sheer fact that they are the ones that they want to prevent leaks from happening with and maybe are the ones Axl still wants to release one day. They may release these- who knows. We now know “Perhaps” and “The General” are likely keeping their original names, as we’ve seen via the alt list, which lines up with the Spotify database searches. Theories that the algorithim would’ve had to apply because the names were similiar despite being “working titles” are now disproven, as we know 2 of the songs have the same name- this is the most recent development in regards to what Spotify could mean. But yeah I’m not sure it means anything will be released. We can gather Perhaps and maybe The General are planned, but I doubt stuff like RealDoll or a full album are release imminent. But even if it’s just leak prevention they are in the system in some form and are at least on the band’s radar. Being a GNR fan is so much fun, isn’t it?
  21. That alt list is gonna be a bitch to read. Not sure if we can pull it off lol. Only way it can be done is if we calculate how many letters are in each phrase, then by using process of elimination figuring out which GNR songs it could be. But even that’s not doable since they write code names for their songs
