I like to point out the BS I read on here and will continue to do so. If someone can’t handle being called out for it, that’s not for me to worry or even care about. What I say should have no bearing on anyone other than perhaps giving a perspective different from what someone else sees or believes from their own perspective.

Be careful what I say? Why? The clipping, pasted on guitar and bass parts, and lack of good lyrics make 3 of the 4 songs hard to listen to with good audio equipment And why do you feel the need to constantly push your opinions or feel the need to act like you are superior here? What does that say about you oh wise one?

I disagree with you. The quality of the music is the most important part of a potential new album. And the need to constantly point out where one disagrees with someone is the point I am making here. And you have backed me in making that point by repeating your point again. Do you point out to those that like the music that it’s not relevant to the discussion or only when it suits you? Hypocrites are what they are 🤷🏻♂️

And here we go again, making excuses and Axl-splaining why those of us who want to hear more music should simply accept “the process”. 4 “new” songs have been officially released, of which only one is halfway decent. The rest wouldn’t even be worthy as fillers on the Illusions. And the only song that we have heard that was good, Monsters, is yet to be officially released. outside of Slash and Duff, what else is there to talk about these days? Of course people are going to complain about 4 songs released in the 8 years since the semi reunion

It’s fascinating to read these details. I have zero experience with garage band or pro tools or any of that sort, so to read where parts have been reused or where there is a potentially missing drum part helps me to understand why the CD leftovers sound so weird. Like the Hey Hey part being lifted from State Of Grace. I understand this is a legitimate way of producing music and it’s more common now than ever. It just feels so inorganic and forced if that makes sense.

I remember him royally messing up Jungle in two different spots. Maybe that’s what I’m confusing with two different songs? Add in the Pitman towel waving during Patience and I see the worst representation of NuGuns ever filmed. Again, fair play that he came out while sick and there were some good parts of the set. The first half of Patience itself was actually a highlight with people singing along. He really tried on the second half and was ok for the most part. The looks on the kids faces on stage is really cool and what this concert series was all about. -

I appreciate that he was sick and still came out. Props for that. Unfortunately, I was there night one, when I think night two is the one most people have seen online. He came on super late in the middle of a tightly scheduled show to the point Eddie Vedder came out and sang just to keep everyone happy. Then Axl sang the wrong lines on multiple songs and Better was absolutely horrible. Too bad, that song actually seems like it could be good in an acoustic version. -

1 - Oakland, Ca 1992. Day on the Green with Metallica. Turf wars in the outfield while waiting what seemed like forever for Guns to take the stage. The two biggest bands on the planet together. Was on YouTube at one point. Unforgettable. 2 - Concord, Ca 1988. Opening for Aerosmith, the only time I saw the AFD5 in concert. Super short setlist, 7 songs. Really wish I could find a bootleg of this one. 3 - San Francisco, Ca 2016. Never thought I’d see Slash and Axl on stage together again. Axl’s voice was strong enough and I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. You could tell the three of them were pretty damn happy up there. And they played Coma, my favorite off the Illusions. 4 - Oakland, Ca 2017. NITL still going strong. 5 songs I hadn’t seen them perform live before including Yesterdays and Madagascar. 5 - Hollywood, Ca 2019. Axl was two hours late making it feel like the old days. They played Slither, Shadow and a good rendition of Wichita Lineman. Also got to hear them sound checking Hard School long before it was released. 6 - San Jose, Ca 2019. Back down to a 24 song set, the concert never seemed to lag like some of the longer ones do. Had a great time. 7 - Bridge School Benefit, 2012. Never wanted to see NuGuns live but this was a special charity concert series that was beloved here. Total embarrassment. I had hyped up my wife to see Axl in addition to the already great lineup and the 2 song impromptu set by Eddie Vedder ended up being the musical highlight of the night. Actually, the whole rest of the lineup was amazing: Jack White, Gary Clark, Jr, Flaming Lips and more. -
Good callout! I think Alice would sound great with Slash. I’m really looking forward to this album. There are about 5 songs on his first all star album that are absolutely fantastic so I’m hoping for the same on this one. And a tour where he focuses more on the Snakepit and all star albums? Hell yeah!

Yes, I totally understand and agree. I’m just going off the other three songs that all have seem to have the identical vocal tracks as the Village Leaks. If he couldn’t be bothered to add a second verse to the officially released Absurd I doubt he’s added anything significant since 2006 when CD was done prior to Bumblefoot’s additions. Of course, I would be happy to be proven wrong!
