It is a conspiracy theory as was the theory that the digital release of Perhaps would be postponed out of spite only because we found out about the placeholder countdown page. There are a few explanations that make more sense than this: e.g. poor planning and being late to send it for pressing so the release date wasn't met.

Actually, it has. The Hard Skool CD shipped a month earlier than announced and the HS vinyl 6 whole months earlier. That was unprecedented and probably will never happen again

Is it standard policy in case of delays that the order gets automatically cancelled after a certain date unless you opt to keep it? I thought it was usually the opposite, i.e. that the order remains active unless you opt to cancel.

Absurd was the only surprise release that dropped at midnight US EST (probably because Axl wanted to announce it during the show of that night). Hard Skool and Perhaps (as well as the promo singles from the UYI reissue) were released at midnight according to each region's timezone, hence in New Zealand first. I think that if this one doesn't drop in New Zealand in about 8 7 hours from now, we shouldn't expect a digital release this week and it's more likely that we'll first hear it via a vinyl rip in a few days.

The video you're referring to is a combination of the *real* orchestral intro that was played at shows and Evader's recreation of the phone clip, which means that the part with the guitars and the vocals is not real.

I think Duff does other backing vocals while the backing track with the scream is played. Maybe it was just that?

Because these shows were later additions and were announced just a month before, so it makes sense that they booked smaller venues - and 20,000 capacity arenas are not really small for a rock act in the US. Few bands play in stadiums there, probably because there's a lot more competition than in other places of the world.
