  1. Duff's full interview with Classic Rock Germany has been released (as you all may remember, there was a quote from it - the one about "GN'R related news" - in an online review of the Frankfurt show which later disappeared from the website of the magazine). There's nothing about GN'R in this one, as far as I can tell. If anyone is interested in reading it (in German): https://www.a-4-d.com/t8070-2023-11-dd-classic-rock-germany-a-few-chords-and-the-truth-duff He also did an interview with an Italian magazine (in Italian): https://www.a-4-d.com/t8071-2023-10-dd-guitar-club-magazine-italy-interview-with-duff
  2. I don't know if the song will be good (for my taste) or not. But I would be willing to bet on the following (and I don't do this often): 1. It's not an instrumental. 2. It's a reworked version with Slash and Duff and not the "original" version with the NuGnR musicians. 3. It's not State of Grace.
  3. I see that Dizzy and Gilby are also on this platform.
  4. Another interview: Article: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/guns-n-roses-duff-mckagan-meeting-lighthouse-susan-holmes-mckagan-27-years-ago-184608819.html
  5. That's a good point. Assuming that the prose in the article follows the flow of the conversation with Duff, the context of the quote is that GN'R have released only two songs so far (they forgot Absurd) but not an album yet. So it makes sense that the question was about an album specifically.

  7. I'm very skeptical about an album, but yes, everything that Slash said would happen has happened, even though with some delay.
  8. This is all true for the people who hear him on e.g. Welcome to the Jungle now after not having heard him in years. I didn't say anything different as far as this goes. Actually I have said before that Axl sounds really bad or plain awful on the songs that the majority of people know. But here I was talking about us, who know all the other songs in the set and don't go to the shows to hear only the hits. There is no reason to subscribe to the "consensus" that Axl is like Vince Neil or whatever, because we know that he sounds okay on half of the set. We can admit both this fact and the fact that he sounds terrible on most of the popular songs.
  9. And here we go again. Duff: The rockers have been on tour virtually full-time since they reformed seven years ago. They’ve released just two new songs, Hard Skool and Perhaps, but McKagan reassures fans a new album will happen eventually, promising: “Don’t worry, we’ve got this.” https://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/music/1824074/duff-mckagan-guns-n-roses-new-album

  11. I think it says that the person who books the meet-and-greet is allowed to invite up to 5 other people in it.
  12. I'm sure a few forum members will be interested (although I'm not sure how this "intro" platform works exactly), so I figured it'd be better if it had it's own thread. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cybmt4HP6JY/ https://intro.live/desktop-artist-main-profile/robin-finck
  13. It's not a big improvement by any means, and although his high notes have been noticeably weaker, he has been more consistent this year, for sure, and the additions in the setlist have helped, as well as the turned up backing vocals. I think that deep down most people agree with this assessment, but are influenced by comments and mocking videos on the internet or what their friends/wives/cousins etc. say. It's the reverse psychological effect of people being overwhelmed and excited after seeing a show in person and overstating Axl's performance as better than it actually was. And many times they go from one end to the other. It's the same with everything else, like the released songs. I'm sure it will be like this with The General, too, if there are negative comments from casual fans. Some of the people who will like it at first will then start to question their own judgement and eventually say that it's not that good.

  15. I can't say about Vince Neil, as I haven't watched more than a couple of videos (he was never considered a great singer anyway, though). But as far as Bon Jovi, he couldn't sing at all on any range, at least at the shows that have been talked about. Axl is not on that level.
  16. He's not on par with Bon Jovi and Vince Neil, because he sounds okay to good on about half of the current set (especially the low register songs, where his voice is still strong). But sadly he sounds the worst on most of the hits that casual fans and the general public know.

  18. Very good article, thanks for sharing. I agree with a lot of it, even though I'm not as big a fan of CD. That would have been the best of both worlds.
  19. Slash was doing commercials long before the divorce.
