  1. 9:45 was sticking in my head, but according to the old 2016 thread it was 9:54. We were all complaining about the gunshots going on for eternity.
  2. In 2016, Toronto actually had one of the later start times on the tour that year (nearly 10:00 pm before Guns hit the stage). I don't expect it to be that late this time. They seem to be averaging 8:00-8:30 on this run. Assuming the three hour show I imagine 11:30 is more likely the end time. Anyone hoping to catch that coveted 11:45 train from Union might be out of luck. There was indeed a merch truck outside on the boulevard in 2016. Hopefully someone else can chime in to help with your other questions!
  3. To be fair, "thunderous, rapid-fire drum beat" might be the kindest thing I've ever read about Frank. Nice to see him mentioned.
  4. $50 upstairs if anybody just wants to go to be there for a night out.
  5. She overheard the sounds coming through the walls of his home studio and said, "Sorry. I thought I married a guitar player."
  6. I'm on the fence about going, but if I do go I'm doing the same. Day of purchase. If I go we can make good on our long overdue beer and catch up!
  7. Dexter hasn't posted in quite some time.
  8. I saw that too when I checked out the setlist. I think somebody just got confused because the very last descending arpeggio Slash plays in Patience is indeed quite similar to the start of Fall To Pieces.
  9. In all honesty - Absurd. I think the overall hilarity of that being the first "new" song to come out Slash and Duff being back really just stood out to me at the time. I find it on my rotation far more than Hard Skool which was only ever just an "okay" song for me. Perhaps is kind of the same. Just "okay" to me, although objectively probably the best written of the three.
  10. In the spirit of Absurd, they've gone for a stylized approach.
  11. Instead of playing Perhaps tonight they're going to play Wichita Lineman twice, and then say they've recorded a cover of it under the title The General for exclusive vinyl release this fall.
  12. I don't hear Sweet Home at all. It's not even the same chord progression.
  13. I couldn't agree more. It's hard not be be slightly underwhelmed by songs I've heard already. Not that that's the fault of the band - obviously I've chosen to listen to the leaks all along. Nevertheless, this will be a chance to experience the song unheard for the first time and I plan on taking it.
  14. Amazing how excited we all are about a music video for a song that was mostly recorded like 20 years ago. See Fernando? I know we're a miserable lot most of the time but we ain't too hard to please.
  15. I mistakenly thought that this was just going to be another afterthought of a lyric video. Wow. I wasn't expecting that. Easily the best video they've put together since the Use Your Illusion days. In fact, it would fit nicely on Welcome to the Videos. I'm impressed.
  16. Listened to it on Spotify on my drive to work. It's okay. I think in terms of production it probably sounds the best of the three tracks we've gotten so far. At least that's how I felt on my first listen. I'll give it a few more listens, but I never loved the old leak anyways. Great that it's finally out though.
  17. Bad Obsession and Double Talkin' Jive truly are real tear jerkers.
  18. There's still a chance they'll drop the "VIP" stuff from the pit closer to the day, although I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up still being a "platinum ticket" or whatever. I had close seats behind the pit in 2016 and did the pit itself in 2017. That's plenty enough for me. I'm happy to settle for further back this time.
  19. Seems he's got a couple California shows this Fall so here's hoping he tours next year. He also listed some more guitars a couple days ago. Mostly lower end stuff but all used on the Pikes.
  20. I feel like, had I gone as intended, I would have ended up feeling the same way as you so maybe I'm not as sorry I missed it as I thought I would be.
  21. It's better than $250 and up. I'm waiting until they're closer to the $100 mark which seems inevitable with the dreadful sales and then I'll buy.
  22. Toronto show is finally seeing some visible price drops. Lower bowl can now be had for $160-$180 for the most part, although I'm continuing to wait for now. It's not like there is any shortage of tickets.
