Not that I believe it, but now someone on 4chan is claiming Atlas Shrugged is actually the name of the album, and that the tracklist is:

    1.Oh My God

    2.Hard Skool

    3.Atlas Shrugged

    4.Perhaps

    5.The General

    6.Berlin

    7.Seven

    8.In This Grave

    9.Absurd

    10.Thyme

The trolling literally never ends. I can’t imagine being bored enough to make these crazy claims.

In that case, it would fit on an EP or remix album with Nothing and Eye On You. But seeing how they put My World on an album, anything is possible with this band.

OMG2 was on the CD2 list from early 2008, we have the leak with Bumblefoot, so it at one point was strongly considered for re-release, plus Axl said the 1999 version was a demo, and they rehearsed it in 2011. Axl in the forum chats described a remix of OMG, that doesn't match the description of what leaked with Bumblefoot, so that leads me to believe they are working on at least two different versions of that song, I bet one will eventually be released.

Bucket's contributions really elevated that song for me. His guitar bits during the chorus are great.

Axl said the 1999 version was a demo because it was not well received at the time. Everyone including the hard core fan base at the time hated it myself included. I remember being beyond disappointed the first time I heard it on the radio. Now it didn’t take long for it to grow to people and many people now like it. But it was not a demo in 1999. I know he worked on it more but I cannot imagine why. It’s not that great of a song and it had already been mixed, mastered, and officially released.

If they hadn’t had reworked silkworms with Slash and Duff I’d agree with you but they pulled the ultimate wtf with that, so I believe OMG is completely possible to be reworked for this incarnation of Guns

But Silkworms/Absurd was never officially released. OMG was officially released and frankly not that great of a song. If you are going to have slash and duff work on songs wouldn’t it make sense to choose A-list non released tracks

The return of the saddest trend. Fully grown men typing pretend tracklistings. Beyond tragic to think of them still doing this.

You want to know how it’s definitely fake-

OMG. This is not going to be on any album or re-released other than a bonus track on something maybe. This song has been released. It was mixed and mastered and put out. It was never a demo

I did think about it, but my theory would be because the plan is to get an actual album released. I know this is so far fetched right now that I kept my mouth shut lol

I don’t think it’s that far fetched. Maybe not a full studio LP but an EP with 4 tracks and 4 live tracks wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility. If the plan is to actually begin the process of a new album next year now would be the time to get everything out there.

I think as far as "rockers" go, Oh My God was better than anything released on CD or since... yet it wasn't included. So who knows? To borrow a favorite line from the AVGN, it's easier taking a dump while doing a handstand than it is trying to decode Axl Rose.

Seriously lol? OMG is better than CD, Shacklers, Better, Hard Skool?!

OMG is one rung up from absurd and that’s the bottom rung.

  7. 1. The General (thank god this is actually happening)

    2. Soul Monster (the demo is rad would love to hear this shit with lyrics)

    3. Oklahoma (because c’mon this was on a set list in 2000. I was 20 then for fucks sake)

    4. Down by the Ocean (a modern GNR song written by Izzy-yes please)

    5. Seven ( According to brain a timeless ballad written by Axl Rose. Sign me up it not like Axl is awesome at ballads;)

    6. Atlas Shrugged (I believe slash can dramatically improve this song)

7 Cuban Skies (supposedly about cigars. And no one loves a good cigar more than me)

  8. I kinda like the nod to Finck. When I heard the cell phone recording of the juke box fiasco thought it sounded super weird. When it debuted on the radio I thought it sounded fine and I actually liked it. C’mon y’all know Axl makes some weird and interesting choices. I mean this is the same dude who did a line of Sorry like count chocula.

I think the rumour about State of Grace being The General - or having morphed into the General - started by some "insiders". But also some posters here said that they heard some of the same notes not in the cell phone recording, but in the orchestral intro of the General that was played at GN'R shows. Discussion in the leak thread:

It is curious that SOG was not on that list of CD2 options considering it was pretty complete other than the vocals at the end of the bridge

I respect your opinion but I don't think Hardschool would have done any better recepted if it was a Brand New song.. The song is what it is.. Great to some I guess and pretty cheesy to others..  It sounds like it could be on a Saved by the Bell soundtrack.  These songs didn't catch on 2 years later still no one at the shows know them. They don't get any Radio/Sirius play...

It is just a shame that in 7 years all they can do is realese 4 CD leftovers.. Not even one original song...  These songs are something they could have put their session tracks over and released in a week and then moved on to bigger and beytter things..

I think they have killed the general public's appetite for new music to the point that if they actually ever were to release new music, there wouldn't be much hype..

Saved by the bell soundtrack lol. I hate that stupid school bell in the beginning of the song. It’s so dumb. I wish there was a way to remove it.

You know what? This would be the first time when I'd actually avoid any leak and wait for the official tune. Now that we know it's just two months ahead anyway. I'd give the leak a go later, but not before.

I’d like to say I would do the same but if the 2010 version leaked tomorrow I think it would be pretty hard not to listen to it
