Not feeling the excitement for this tour at all, even though I have tickets for the Fenway Park show. It doesn't help when you think you're getting your Nightrain merchandise in May, but lo and behold, they can't manage to to ship it out to everyone at the same time. This band just lets me down in so many ways.

I'm going to be the optimist and say that we will get new material from this band in calendar year 2023. Fernando, as dumb as he is, has to be looking at the lackluster ticket sales, and understanding that people don't want the same setlist at shows for the eighth year in a row. The excitement of having Slash and Duff back has long worn off.

I bought the Use Your Illusion limited edition vinyl set with the colored vinyl and turntable mats. I haven't opened it, and probably won't. I like the idea of passing it on to one of my kids and letting them decide what to do with it after I'm gone. $124.98 on the official merch site wasn't a bad price, I've seen it on Amazon going for $195.

It does not appear to be selling well. I bought three tickets for the Fenway Park show as part of the Nightrain early access, and today I found out my oldest son is able to go as well, so I just bought another ticket. It's right behind the seats I'd bought when the tickets went on sale in February. Hopefully, we'll just get moved down to the field if it's a low turnout. In 2016, it was all fresh because of the mini-reunion, but in 2023, playing the same setlist just isn't going to fly.
