  1. KKamala Harris has

    - Supported LGBT rights

    - created an Environment unit to presecute environmental crime

    - reduced three strikes to violent crimes only (I think it should be scrapped)

    - worked at reduciing gun violence by giving longer sentences when guns are involved (contentious for Americans I know but as a Brit with a fear of guns this pleases me)

    - worked at reducing internet sex crrimes, especially when minors involved

    - tried to prosecute a police chief for cover up but ruled not enough evidence (for those who think she is pro police whatever they do)

    - wants to reform the health service

downside is her stance on soft drugs (my opinion anyway)

Of course one could find stuff that would make for a negative opinion but I, in the UK, dont know enough about her but am well pleased with above

  2. I thought liking a band and their music was supposed to be a pleasant experience but what I have learnt here is it can be pretty dark and complex, I dont understand why, I dont understand the secrecy and disdain of fans, although I can imagine some fans can be a pain in the ass and worse and maybe this colours the attitude.  It is hard to understand as their lives are so very different from most of us, it would be like trying to understand a human from the past or the future or a creature with five legs...and so on. :smiley-confused2:

  3. Due to coravinus spikes all over the place and maybe a surge in winter it is looking likely that there will be no concerts in 2021 either (hope I am wrong).

Fernando gets a raw deal and seems to get the blame for everything.  Alan Niven, after steering the band to 'the greatest rock band in the world'; sacked, Doug Goldstein who gave his everthing; sacked and then the rest of them.  Sounds as though it may be a precarious role within the music machine.  Also it can be more difficult when blending a family with the company, balancing family relationships with the great demands of work.   Just a thought.

This is so well written I wanna read it over and over.

Awww shucks...thanks.  I shall look up your posts and bask in your literary skills;)

Actually I wish I had not wrote that as I have no idea why Axl has trademarked  and my spur  the moment specualation is not something I normally indulge  in.

100% true for me. I remember back when the NITL Tour started, I thought we'd at least get one single out of the deal. I went to 3 shows and truly enjoyed myself, but I was hoping that forward progression would occur after they lapped the world. As soon as they started lining up a ton more dates with zero communication about the future, I started to get a sinking feeling. Once I came to the realization that this whole thing was a soulless cash grab, I was just so bummed.

That's another big thing for me. All the big talk Slash & Duff put out ultimately meant nothing because now they just submit to Axl's way of doing things, sleep walk through shows, cash a check and move on.

It really is. I know you're a newer fan but just imagine having watched this all develop from the very beginning.

If you could go back in time to catch up with me walking into the shows I went to in 91, 92 and 93, you would NEVER have got me to believe that GN'R would end this way.

I know, I do think about how most people here have been following GNR from the beginning and the disappointment and frustration you must have felt along the way.  Also still waiting for that last drop or two...hopefully.

I’ve actually witnessed that first hand. At an after show party here in Brisbane, Australia, when DJ Ashba was taking a couple of girls from the party down a hall way and Andrei yelled at Ashba and screamed that it was his job to take the girls down to Axl. I found it quite disturbing in a predatory way with these girls being like less than half Axl’s age. I can’t say I know what happens when they go down the hall way to meet him, but the whole thing reminded me of a certain infamous individual who is now dead and his ‘wingman’ or ‘wingwoman’ who has finally been caught to answer some charges too.

Tawdry...and disturbing or maybe I am being naive
