100%. A release was supposed to be imminent. (i say that based on what the two insiders told us, Duff and Tom). Just look at the San Antonio ticket sales. Holy crap. We know they are gonna play it safe the first date, but then they have to pull off an ABSURD again and do it the second night. Expect Axl to grab the mic and start talking to the audience before the first half of the show, because the very second that goofy ass crackhead voice sample from Civil War starts playing and they haven't debuted Perhaps... it's the moment to say goodbye to new songs.

Well yeah i mean, not malicious intent as in "Lets harm William Axl Rose, fuck him" i see it more as, "we know that photo looks like shit, let's use that specific one anyway" (besides if there is wide availability of photos or not) Like most "What happened to Axl Rose's vocals (or just Axl)" vids on YT (english or spanish). It's almost like they HAVE to show him as a washed up fat fuck. I remember i was still in college (there a lot of superficial jerks in there) during the early years of the reunion and people would laugh at me for being into GNR that much, because of Axl. But then i realized it was mainly because a ton of entertainment pages on Facebook were using the 2010 fat Axl in white shirt photo for everything lol, and a lot of casuals maybe believed it was from 2016. That's mostly what i 've noticed. And it might be happening again, but this time no one cares as much anymore. I hope they all start using Glastonbury photos from now on like you said, the guy is putting effort on his personal image and that deserves awareness.

The worst part is that this picture has become like the official photo for GNR articles everywhere, i fucking swear every single GNR related news comes with this thumbnail. "GNR to release UYI anniversary boxset" "GNR announces more American tour dates" "GNR rehearsed new song" Read those headlines and you'll remember having read an article with that photo attached to it. (even though it's totally unrelated) Obviously there's some malicious intent behind it coming from the media. And clickbait of course.

I'm neutral i guess, i wouldn't mind if he goes on the podcast, i just wanna hear Axl talk, even if it has to be about boxing or UFOs and dumb shit, i won't care about his political views if he lets our guy talk. I liked when he invited the dude from the Ancient Civilizations doc (i know its bs but i found it entertaining) also watched the Anthony Kiedis interview, The Undertaker, and the Aaron Rodgers one (it ended up being boring as hell), besides that, i generally try to avoid watching or interacting with any of his content cause if you are part of a certain demographic and you like or double tap even one of his videos or -reels/shorts/whatever- the algorithms will immediately push you to the conspiracy side of social media, and after a day you'll have nothing left on your feed to interact with other than obsessive anti government dumbasses/tate brothers fanatics/ and anti western lunatics which i completely despise. "WaKe UP tHey are lYing to YOu"... Bro just shut the fuck up. Whatever, we know that Axl is not gonna do it anyway. But it's interesting that he invited him to the concert, so we can at least tell that he doesn't dislike the guy, huh?

I've always thought that if at one point CD2 or 3 was ever planned to be a weird experimental-electronic kind of thing, it should've been out by 2002 max. I can't imagine an album with PRL, Silkworms, Billionaire and that stuff being critically acclaimed past that date. Let alone a 2010-ish release. Anyway i would've loved that one as a follow up and then close with the darker epic stuff: SOG The General, As it Began, etc.

2023 WORLD TOUR
metalavenger99 replied to Stay.Of.Execution's topic in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
The gig in Charlotte is not doing that bad despite the high prices, but still, i believe the main problem is they've over saturated the US market while the novelty of the reunion has already wore off, things are not gonna change because you added 4 deepcuts ... Casuals don't care about new music but they've seen the same show many many many times -
2023 WORLD TOUR
metalavenger99 replied to Stay.Of.Execution's topic in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
They deserve this, i hope the same happens at most European countries soon, i wanna see GNR not being able to get away with this "greatest hits + reunion" bullshit anymore. -
I personally think that if we ever get to hear those songs, it's gonna happen because of a leak, and not because of an official release of EVERY single one of the CD2 songs happening at some point. (We've already heard Perhaps in case they do end up playing it) Or unless we're talking about a posthumous release of course, but that is the most depressing scenario to picture of all. Then the problem is that the Village leaks were the result of a completely random situation right? Zutaut's locker being auctioned, i doubt that's happening again, but what if something just kind of similar occurs? So, not only a bunch of material dating back all the way to the late 90's, stored in who knows what format, who knows where in the country, coming from a hoarder or an ex employee of a studio or a related company, would have to surface to the public or suddenly be found without them being aware, BUT EVEN THEN, some intermediary would have to be interested in acquiring it or just picking it up without really knowing what it is, so this time it could end up on anonymous good hands, and then maybe, maybe make it's way onto the internet without drama, intentionally, or unintentionally i guess? All of this is extremely unlikely and every time i think about it, it depresses the hell out of me! Maybe the search would have to turn into some of those well known cases when the lost media people gets together to find specific stuff at all costs. But then you know the legal side that comes after and shit. I've remember reading about a search for Chinese Democracy commercials from the early 2000's, but most likely those posts were made by someone already on GNR message boards.

Haha nah, if any of those leaked by now i’d be at peace with myself, and would immediately stop following this shitshow. 1- Zodiac was just my opinion, I said it because i like it a lot, but then knowing we haven’t heard it, i said that maybe everyone would just leave that spot for The General 2- And the others, i think the consensus comes based on how them were described when Beltrami was working on those exact 3 songs 3- And … i consider a lot of the Village leaks just to be instrumental ideas too, but the fact that Axl confirmed that a bunch of those titles were real (and even remembered them) in ‘08 makes me wanna believe that at least Zodiac, Oklahoma, and a couple more, aside from the hopefully “big guns” have vocals. Sure the rest are just ideas. lol no way you haven’t heard about The General, if you really mean that, yes you missed it man, a cellphone recording of it leaked and they officially played the intro at some shows in 2010 i believe

I consider Zodiac, Soul Monster and Seven to be the 3 big guns enough for a CDII release back in the day. (You can swap Zodiac for The General of course) I wouldn’t mind if the rest were fillers. Silkworms is a filler. it’s ok if some consider Perhaps/Atlas/HS as fillers (or think they are shit) cause even then what an amazing fucking album would be at least to most of us. I don’t know about casuals.

Let’s not forget something Until we get Perhaps, there is no one assuring us that the 1-2 singles plan between world tours is (STILL) even on the table. Unless anyone here interprets “any day now” or “maybe even this week” as a 3 week + window… (5+ if you are waiting for an NA release) Yeah no, i’m in the camp that it’s been cancelled, however we’ll see when they get to America. But again, we can keep waiting all we want and keep saying “Just wait till the X leg of the tour”… if we don’t get Perhaps this year, exactly on what are we gonna base our speculations from now on? On a quote from Duff years ago saying “maybe this week” at the end of a ghost article?
