I'm ok, but maybe you're the one who needs to chill. I didn't want to upset you with my comment. But I didn't say you SAID that, I said you stated your opinion - that both albums were supposedly BETTER than CD - as a fact. I said that was just your opinion, not a fact, and that's what I meant when I said it was subjective. When I said that I like CD a lot more, that's subjective too, of course. And that's what I said: it's your opinion, and I said my opinion - that you promptly dismissed as "fandom talking", which I don't appreciate either, but it's all good. Anyways, I apologize if what I said offended you, but I stand by what I said: what you said about CD is just your opinion, and that's subjective.

No, it’s still subjective. Why would you pigeonhole my opinion as being “fandom speaking” while you state your opinion as gospel? Also, the album didnt leak on MySpace, the band released it there. It was actually a bold move, even if not the smartest. BTW, I don’t give two flying fucks to sales and being “successful”. I like what I like, and I didn’t like those other two albums at all back then and never really wanted to get back to listen again.

Yeah, back then Axl said something like "oh, that got us by surprise. Robin is Robin, and he has one of the most eccentric lifestyles. We'll see how it goes". Rumors according to MSL's supposedly leaked emails were that Robin didn't get payed and was gaslighted by the then management, until he got fed up and accepted Trent's invite to rejoin NIN. In a personal level, that was the most heartbroken I got with this band. Even more than when it happened with Slash because back then, I was a fan but the band was not active at all, so I just assumed that Slash could get back eventually (well, I was kinda right about it lol). That's entirely subjective. I'm a diehard fan since 89 and to me CD is million times better than both of those albums. Also, TWAT could've had a radio edit, the track length is not a deal breaker. But I really don't see it as a radio single at all. IMO, Street of Dreams would suit it better.

Unofficial GNR Social Media Update / Discussion

Wasn’t he super young? -
Bumblefoot predicted how the album would need time to sit on fans minds and get more appreciation. It was such a departure of what people expected from a GNR product, and also it had the whole drama of how long did it take to be released and who were in the band (both still is taken into consideration even now). IMO, if you take the album with face value, it can be appreciated a lot more.

Back in the day, people didn't understand a lot of lyrics in OMG. There was one of the transcriptions that had some stuff in brackets that were never in the song at all, but yet that was the one that was in every single lyrics site I've came across back then. And it had some weird stuff like "believe you're a bad jump".

Musical influence monsters and the general?
Voodoochild replied to AxlRQ93's topic in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
Just modern hard rock. The "industrial" stuff are just textures, very minor things. The guitars def have nothing to do with industrial IMO. -
Musical influence monsters and the general?

I hear a lot of hip hop on The General. The intro kinda reminds me of that Eminen's 8 Mile song. Neither.
