  1. Well, she's pretty capable and could be something out of her expected outcome. I think it would sound more like Slash's Bluesball than GNR.
  2. The article does say that it's not clear if Slash will ditch Marshall. As it mentioned the SKMC tour, maybe he would still stick to Marshall with GNR? Do you know anything about Magnatone? I don't think I've ever heard one.
  3. Wasn't FTP basic chord structure being played in the background on Estranged's Making Of doc? Or was that a Snakepit track?
  4. Didn't follow him that much but I think you're probably right. Even more so considering how murky and weird was that era for everyone, including Axl himself.
  5. I think Fall to Pieces is really boring and we already had This I Love to fill this role on CD. But I always assumed that the three songs Axl wanted Slash were CD tracks, like TIL, Street of Dreams and some other from the Village sessions.
  6. It does sound like RobAin Finck to my ears. I think @evader also thought it was Robain. Don't follow you. I think it sounds the same structure-wise to me? Could you point this part on the clip to me?
  7. Sorry, but The General doesn't sound like Marilyn Manson or industrial stuff at all. Really.
  8. It was my favorite when I bought that record back in the 90s. But I agree that the lyrics are pretty bad lol Both would be very welcomed to me.
  9. People theorized that he was pissed off because of the leak. I dunno.
  10. Never thought about Elton John on this, but it does fit perfectly. Just imagine Slash playing a solo like that in Street of Dreams. It's the same basic premise on the rhythm section.
  11. I wish Axl could record Back to the Moment. I mean, I love Rod's performance, but this one has one of most beautiful Slash solos.
  12. This is ok with me. I mean, the arrangement and layers do make a huge difference, and maybe the song structure was thought to be simple because of those other elements to be begin with. I mean, this is an extreme exemple, but look what Hans Zimmer did with Interstellar's soundtrack.
  13. He has credits for performing on it. The solo elevates it for sure, but that's just one case. Not every song has a memorable solo, but who would decide it for copyright reasons? I mean, is not that I agree with it, but I see how such a thing could not work.
  14. Got what you mean. Yeah, my version sounded a bit too keyboard-ish, but for the YouTube purpose, I guess it's good enough.
  15. Thanks! I think this is his pedal indeed. Not sure what you mean by "tune one string to a drone". Instead, I used a VST sound for my keyboard and played together with the regular guitar, it's sounding ok. I remade all the orchestra too, at least to an ok point (didn't know how to play some of the stacatto stuff). It's going pretty ok if I say so myself.
  16. Would you like to work for less to gain more "visibility"? And if everybody does the same, would you accept the devaluation of your work hours? Better yet, would you travel to another country/place by your own expenses to work for free?
  17. He uses some specific pedal for that, he showed his pedalboard on Instagram (that’s when someone asked him about it and he said he would use with another song other than PTU). Im not sure how to emulate that with a whammy. I’ve been trying it here, but nothing really sounded like the real deal.
  18. It is. Not my cup of tea (I don’t like things like Iron Maiden), but they are very competent. Mudvayne is cool
  19. Because neither The General or Monsters were leftovers. Same with Perhaps and Hard Skool (Silkworms I'm not sure, as it was played live). Chinese Democracy was never meant to be the best of the best of that band. And I like Scraped.
  20. The thing about this is that Riad is not spelled "Rhiad", as it was on setlists and the Village CDs.
  21. Not sure about a fast song, but I think there was something about a catchier tune maybe. There was some fast stuff on the Village demos too, though. Still, Axl wanted to finish Bucket demos such as Shacklers and Scraped without him. I know about it, but those were more like related songs. I was talking about the part of the studio version that wasn’t present on the demo. And remember, this song had Pete Scaturro also as composer.
