  1. About Riad's drums, check this guy playing Rock Band perfectly. This is some serious awesome stuff (thanks to Josh Freese, even though Brain rerecorded it).
  2. There were some questionable decisions on the album mix too. But as far as being played live, I think it was simply because those screams were too damn high. Even in 2006/7, when Axl was really in his A-game, the song did not get played (and I think it was rehearsed pre-tour, from what I've been told back then).
  3. It's both man. First, Robin, for a couple of high pitched sustained notes. Then it's all Bucket. Just like they played it live.
  4. The album means a world to me. I've met my wife because of it, among a lot of other things. I've been covering all the songs from CD in my YouTube channel for a reason - there's only one left, Riad, which was always a favorite of mine and I want to make justice to the awesomeness of the track. I still think it's the most underrated GNR song of all. Best drums and guitar riff of that era IMO.
  5. A-sharp or D-sharp? This same thing you're doing is used in the second chord (with the root in D) on Monster's verse. I think Slash plays something else in The General chorus, but I couldn't figure out exactly what that was. It sounds a bit dissonant, almost like Patience when Izzy is playing E major while Slash plays E minor.
  6. Beta's nephew didn't play with the band, he was the photographer. The guy playing the keyboards was Melissa's tech.
  7. Great stuff. It takes a lot of work to do those tabs and have it synched with the song and video. Just a heads up: the chorus chords should be played with the low E string also to make it heavier, it's not just those power chords.
  8. I don't have stomach to read all those pages after already reading those on Fernando's thread, but just for the record, the fact that she took a lot of time to sue Axl is irrelevant. This is not some traffic jam fight, this is sexual abuse and it envolves a lot of self shame/doubt/guilt. Not something to take lightly, even if the abuser was a nobody, but specially when he's world famous, powerful and rich. So yeah, it's not easy now, and it was way harder before.
  9. I don’t get the comparison. Totally different things to me. They recorded everything for sure. It shouldn’t be too hard to edit it in a cool video like they did with Perhaps, this time highlighting the US crowd. But somehow, I still doubt they will even release it digitally.
  10. Also, you can’t have surgery just to be able to damage your vocal chords all over again. I don’t even think this is possible, as it’s normal to have a lower voice with the age. Your vocal chords just don’t stretch as it was.
  11. At this point, the only thing I would care is if they manage to release a video. The song itself is really not new anymore.
  12. The writer clearly wasn't aware that Richard also gets some solo spots and even leads on the new songs, so that felt like he didn't know much about him. Although I like how the article opens with this sentence: "2008’s criminally underrated Chinese Democracy". It's interesting how he used Orange amps with "heavier stuff", wonder if he used it on The General and/or Monsters too. His Monsters solo is clearly compressed a lot, but I'm not sure he managed that lead sound with his Magnatone.
  13. Good stuff guys. Great solo from your friend too.
  14. Found this one: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cz0O23sser2/?igshid=NTYzOWQzNmJjMA==
  15. I think if this is the truth, that Italian news site will surely post an article about it soon enough.
  16. You may be right on that, but either way, it's better to avoid such a thing. I think it's just a troll because from what people said, he possibly used bots to post on YouTube.
  17. Tried to find his username on YouTube, but couldn't remember when he posted nor the video. Or maybe it's not showing me because I already blocked him there. But I guess it's him indeed.
  18. Yeah, it sounds like he acted like this pre-reunion. Post 2016, he had a different scenario, but a different position it seems. Yeah, it's not an excuse for anyone to be an asshole to me. Your gripe with me is tiring. Go ask an AI if you need therapy.
  19. It's all good man. I understand and from my part, there's no bad blood at all. Let's move forward indeed and thanks for being respectful in your answer.
