Slash would have torn that song a new asshole with the kind of epic solo he would have dropped on it. You listen to that instrumental and it is right in the wheelhouse of the kind of song he usually kills on.

That has always been peculiar to me about the guy. He seemingly hates ballads, and yet he does them better than anyone.

They won't play Don't Cry because that is one of those that is more an Axl song and Slash has always been finicky about that. I do think Myles would do an awesome job with it if they did play it though as it is the kind of song he handles really well.

When I read DJ needs to be sacked I think of him getting tea bagged by some dude and while he definitely does need that I don't think it's the message the post is trying to send.

Besides, they go out of there way to make sure he will never even consider a reunion as it wouldn't be Team Brazil managing the band in that situation you can guarantee. Team Brazil is way too small time for a GNR reunion. It is why they have isolated Axl and don't let anyone in his life that could possibly expose the con they are running for the financial betterment of their entire clan.

Axl has a better chance of winning the lottery than he does of getting a record company to give him 1 red cent to do any new recording.

Our best hope at this point is some of the old CD era stuff, and that is likely pushing it.

Slash is saying the right things here. Elvis seems to push Slash to get better guitar takes. Shades of AL in there, but also cool leads from Slash. I'm not expecting a masterpiece, but it sounds pretty good so far. They've got a nice positive vibe going on there, and the process was painless, so that's always a good sign.

I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised, and alot of that will be due to Elvis.

I love what he has been saying this whole time about pushing Slash because he's a fan and he knows what the guy can do when pushed. Slash needs that in his life.
