Iron Maiden, I never really got into Sabbath, but I love Maiden.

I got two of their albums.

BTW i didn't include metallica because their overrated.

Black Sabbath is overrated. Celtic Frost is a laughable option. Slayer just spews out the same album over and over again.

However, you saved yourself with Venom. Great band. Same with Voivod.

Kreator and Sodom need to be there.

VERY close between Iron Maiden and Sabbath, but Maiden gets my vote. They write the best songs, they put on a hell of a show, and they can still kick your ass! But Sabbath was deffinitely the most influential

Black Sabbath. It's not even halfway a question. They were the founders of the genre, and everyone else just tries to grip that greatness. War Pigs? Greatest metal song ever written, as it will stay.

If you want to ask us what the best metal band is, then you have no option but to include fucking Metallica. If you want this to be a real poll anyway, then you don't pick the answers for us.

That said, I don't like metal too much. Iron Maiden is the most fun of these bands I think. But I liked the "old" Metallica more than any of them.

I don't know how you can have Sabbath but not Zeppelin... those were the 2 Metal bands TO BE in the 70's and both attributed equally to the genre.
