Estranged Reality Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 I love how Homme always makes his disdain for doing promotional stuff quite clear. Look at his face in those clips. Looks like someone just farted in his face. Quote
ITW 2012 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I love how Homme always makes his disdain for doing promotional stuff quite clear. Look at his face in those clips. Looks like someone just farted in his face.Homme always comes across as a dick in interviews. I really hoped these guys would make some good music music but unfortunately they failed. Quote
Dead Flower Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 i quite like the album. though i actually think era vulgaris was better. grohl has a gift with those drums. just knows how to make 'em sound awesome.wish i had gone to see them when they toured here recently. Quote
plonker88 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I was really excited about this band, then I heard some of their songs...... Quote
Conor Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Looking back on things, the album was okay. It's got a few good songs, but forgettable. Quote
st0n3r Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Forgettable album. Josh Homme was at his best in Kyuss, after that it all went downhill. Quote
LightningBolt Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Looking back on things, the album was okay. It's got a few good songs, but forgettable. That's what I was pretty much saying since release. It was average and I probably wouldn't be listening to it in a few months. Quote
Zeppelin Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 The album is a great debut. Far from forgettable. It can only get better from a debut like that. That being said, it's not earth-shattering or anything, but it's a fairly fun rock record with a lack of hooks. I agree with an earlier sentiment that Era Vulgaris is better. It's my favourite QotSA album, and it knocked me on my ass when I heard all of it at first. Quote
axl_on_drums Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 (edited) You're all insane, amazing album. Edited February 7, 2010 by axl_on_drums Quote
ThinkAboutYou Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Dave Grohl's drumming can't even save this band Quote
Estranged Reality Posted February 7, 2010 Author Posted February 7, 2010 Whatever. I thought it was a solid album. Quote
Sgt Snafu Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) i wasn't amazed, but I'll probably listen to the album again sometime in the future and change my mind. "Gunman" was probably my favorite track. such a killer groove Edited February 7, 2010 by Sgt Snafu Quote
kaddisonmoore Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 heard them on SNL last night. grohl is a great drummer and jones and mazing bassist, but hommes vocals and lyrics always seem borign and the same to me Quote
moreblack Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 You're all insane, amazing album.gotta agree, there's something about it Quote
