Marky Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 £35 for a band that haven't released a fucking thing yet...ridiculous. Quote
Snake Eyes Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 £35 for a band that haven't released a fucking thing yet...ridiculous.In that case I wouldn't have bought a ticket anyway. £35 for a new band... at the fucking corn exchange. Even if the members are who they are. They should have just played bigger venues with cheaper ticket prices, the demand for them just got proved this morning.Think I'll just get some Ian Brown ones for £20 instead, d'you know how he is live these days? Marky Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Think I'll just get some Ian Brown ones for £20 instead, d'you know how he is live these days?I'm seeing him at my local venue. Yeah he's alright, I saw him at the MEN gig a few years back with Noel & Gem. He'll be doing plenty of tracks off his new one, he is the 'Pile on a load of new tracks to let everyone know it's my best album yet' type And his voice can be a bit dodgy, but his band are top notch, and he's got the tunes to make a great set. Calm Like A Bomb Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I saw them at Reading. I win at life.Me Too, in the NME tent what a show especially Josh and John Paul having that bass guitar dual fucking awesome. Quote
Estranged Reality Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 £35 for a band that haven't released a fucking thing yet...ridiculous.Not really. I think I'd rather go see them live than hear the album first. They're doing it the old-fashioned way. Quote
sweetness Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Everything I've heard so far has been really fuckin cool. I could be wrong but weren't they suppose to put out a single today? I guess its only a matter of time before its on youtube, if this really is the case Quote
Snake Eyes Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Best quality of New Fang out there so far. Great tune. Quote
Black Sabbath Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 I've got it ripped and on my iPod already. Really liking this track. After a few listens, the sound of it being "cluttered" hardly occurs to you anymore, and the song becomes even better. Can't fucking wait for the full album. Quote
eye2eye Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Great track with flawed production, Geez I really hoped that after CD was realeased every big band would release stuff in that kind of quality. Quote
Estranged Reality Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) Great track with flawed production, Geez I really hoped that after CD was realeased every big band would release stuff in that kind of quality. The production is a throwback to bands like Led Zep and The Stooges, as has always been the case with Homme -- he filters his guitars through bass amps and shit and gets a nice distorted, druggy atmosphere.I like it. Zeppelin Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Great track with flawed production, Geez I really hoped that after CD was realeased every big band would release stuff in that kind of quality. You've never listened to Kyuss, have you? Quote
KetchupNotMayo Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Single sound great, can't wait to hear some more from these guys, definitely gonna pick up the album on release day. Quote
AbominableHoman Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 This song is fucking amazing. I heard it on XM at work, with no idea who the band was. Absolutely elated to discover who the members are. I can't wait for the album. Quote
eye2eye Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Great track with flawed production, Geez I really hoped that after CD was realeased every big band would release stuff in that kind of quality.I hope no one ever releases anything as over produced and lame as CD.no compression and great mixing are awesome, every band should release uncompressed CDs. And point with Stooges and Led Zeppelin I am big fan of those bands , but they made records decades ago, now there are different posibiliites, I love how you can hear everything on CD even when turned really, really loud , I am not talking about overproduction but about lack of compression and how crisp instruments are. Re-recording and adding new elements etc is not what I am talking about. I love how CD is produced generally speaking but can see why others don't like, but here my point was lack of compression and how everything was mixed considering intruments. Quote
W. Axl Kev Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Saw them at Reading festival. It was a secret show after Patrick Wolf (who was tidy by the way). Fucking unreal. They've got a song called 'Dead End Friends' which I reccomend highly! Quote
ChineseDemocracy2004 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I checked out New Fang, it didn't do much for me but i'll probably check out the album. Quote
Estranged Reality Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 New song just leaked: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y6E5VC09"Mind Eraser, No Chaser." Quote
Black Sabbath Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Not bad. Definitely a kick ass tune, but I'm liking New Fang more than this one. Bring on the studio version of Elephants and Scumbag Blues. Quote
Gods Favourite Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Really cool track, I'm getting really excited for the album Quote
Snake Eyes Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Preview of Gunman is up on their youtube channel. Sounds a lot different from the live version, think I like it just as much but it's not as heavy a groove as the live one which is a shame. Quote
