ITW 2012
They should play this every night. It's awesome listening to Axl croon and howl on a stripped back tune like this.
Demon Wolf
Great performance. And Bumblefoot's playing is tasty on Don't Cry. Lovely.

Guest gunns5
I love the nightrain he did from the 2009 show (I think it was)how he sung it like 2-3 octaves higher, like he was fucking pissed!!! so much raw energy it was actually a breath of fresh air to how he usually does it (except for RAR 06)
Rovim
Great performance. It's cool that it's like an Axl and Bumble moment, though I would like to hear it with drums too. Edited June 12, 2010 by Rovim

downzy
This video should be anyone's response to those who question whether Axl still has it. His voice is in top form and probably the best I have ever heard it since maybe 1987-88.Cheers,Andrew

bacardimayne
This is how Don't Cry should always be played. Axl, Bumblefoot and some minimal percussion. It's incredible how good it sounds.

James Bond
This is how Don't Cry should always be played. Axl, Bumblefoot and some minimal percussion.I feel like you are rightIndeed. After seeing a stripped back performance like this, it would be somewhat disappointing to see the current line-up play the original arrangement. A performance like this is special, and it helps differentiate the original version to the current line-up, much like the different versions of Knockin' on Heaven's Door. The fact that the song is performed so rarely nowadays makes these stripped back performances even more emotional. Good chemistry between Axl and Ron, that's for sure.
