Georgy Zhukov
Octopussy would have been a great note for Roger Moore to end on.
James Bond
They're showing Never Say Never Again on the Sky Movies 007 channel, don't know why but it feels a bit wrong.I know what you mean. The excellent new The James Bond Archives book which was released for the 50th (and literally weighs a ton) includes Never Say Never Again. It's weird seeing it grouped in with the EON films. I won't be surprised if they include it in the next massive box set they release.

Because that would be even weirder Watched The World Is Not Enough today, haven't seen it in years and thought it wasn't that bad. Not very good mind you but better than I remember. Georgy Zhukov
The film is neither good or terrible. Just mediocre. How does everyone feel about John Logan being the sole writer for Bond 24? I think it is a great idea but I am not sure how much the CR, QOS and Skyfall are Wade and Purvis. They only Bond films they did on their own were The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day. They seem come up with awesome ideas that eventually go to shit. Writers like Haggis and Logan probably were brought on to develop them and take them to better directions. Crazyman
Octopussy would have been a great note for Roger Moore to end on. FYEO would've been the best option, but Octopussy was a lot better than AVTAK
Georgy Zhukov
FYEO was the better film but Octopussy went out with a bang. I did not think AVTK was as bad as many fans feel. Sure Roger looked old as hell in some shots and Tanya Roberts ws annoying but the San Francisco scenes were great. Christopher Walkin was an effective bad guy. Tater Totts
Was difficult for Lazenby though, he only had one film and as a result didn't get the chance to make the role his own. If he had I think he would be much more favourably looked upon, same with Dalton really.
Georgy Zhukov
Lazenby just had bad luck all along. He was following Connery, he was basically cast because all he had was sex appeal and he can fight. His acting wasn't very good, the press wasn't kind to him, rumors of being difficult were spread and it didn't help he had an ego and showed up at the premiere looking like a hippie. Just mediocre. How does everyone feel about John Logan being the sole writer for Bond 24? I think it is a great idea but I am not sure how much the CR, QOS and Skyfall are Wade and Purvis. Writers like Haggis and Logan probably were brought on to develop them and take them to better directions. It's hard to say. It really depends on the source - some say P&W wrote the bulk of Casino Royale and Paul Haggis just polished off the dialogue, but some claim Haggis drastically changed parts of the script. Same goes for Quantum of Solace (Purvis, Wade, and Haggis, with Craig and Forster working out parts on set once the writer's strike kicked in). Skyfall seems to have been a very collaborative effort - Mendes and Logan both said it was a very good experience working on the script and lots of ideas were tossed around and worked out together.P&W seem to be good at the story aspect but lacking at the dialogue. It was their choice to step down due to burnout, so perhaps they just want a break for a while. It is a strange time to step down though, due to Skyfall's success and the fact that the scripts arguably keep getting better.
Georgy Zhukov
Sam Mendes seems to be throwing around some ideas. I have a feeling they will call him to direct again.

With over $1 billion at the boxoffice and counting they better get him back. Along with Roger Deakins.

Georgy Zhukov
I can't even guess what Skyfall's final gross will be. It will hit 300 million by Sunday, and it hasn't even hit China yet. Hopefully piracy won't prevent it from beating QoS's gross in China.
Georgy Zhukov
James Bond is going to receive an honorably Oscar. Great opportunity to see all the actors on stage together.
James Bond
With the news of Skyfall being honored at the Oscars as well as it hitting the Producers Guild's top 10 list for the year, I have a feeling Skyfall could be the first Bond to get some significant nominations and maybe even a win.Kind of random, but my friend sent this to me:http://imgur.com/gallery/oiTCZAll the Bond actors morphed into one face. Very weird.

Loved the music in Skyfall, lots more texture than in most of David Arnold's scores.

James Bond
I would donate my left nut for Javier Bardem to get a supporting actor nod. If any Bond villain ever deserved it, it's him.
