Does anyone else think 5-blade razors are bull shit?

I've never used an electric razor. I'm worried that they don't shave close enough. I'm dirty blonde, and my facial hair doesn't grow evenly so if I'm not clean shaven my face just looks dirty

Electrics definitely leave a longer shave then a normal razor but they are quicker and more convenient, I usually wet shave with a razor but sometimes if I am lazy/ want to rock some stubble I will just use my electric.

I also find it amusing that 5 blades are advertised to reduce irritation and razor burn and they seem to produce more

They give you TERRIBLE razor burn on your body too. It'll make you look like you have herpes.

Been thinking about changing to safety but it takes do long too shave with three passes and all

I do 2 passes, first with the grain then against the grain. Lathering the soap takes the longest....I used to use the canned stuff but I ran out and have to use an actual bar lol

I've always been dying to know this:

Guys, how bad did it hurt the first time you shaved your face? Was it tough to go from silky smooth to gross stubble or did you enjoy it because you felt manly?

I hated puberty myself. I think girls probably have it rougher but you guys definately got the raw deal when it comes to the embarrassing.

Did you have a tough time with your facial stubble?

Thankfully I haven't been cursed with the male tache thing.

Was anyone else embarassed about puberty? I hated it. I found it embarrassing and I felt uncomfortable the entire time. It took me years to get used to it and stop wearing baggy clothes to hide things.

I didn't go through it till i was about 16/17 and that made me HAPPY because I felt I got some extra years as a kid. I'm still the same today. I never want to grow up or get older.

Didn't hurt at all, pretty much when you first start shaving the hair is really thin and fine like the hair you get on your arms. It takes a while for it to go from that to stubble and it doesn't happen overnight, takes many months and years which is why people end up being patchy.

Didn't really enjoy it as like to rock some stubble/ a beard and for years at school I was forced to shave which was just inconvenient, now I usually just rock some stubble which means I trim my beard twice a week.
