Even porn stars get tired of fucking for a living. It becomes grueling when they book dates and get sick, and there's no option of cancelling shows. They'll get a doctor to pump them full of drugs, prob. things that aren't even legal, but gets their asses out on the stage to get through the night. As far as "no option of cancelling" that's funny. Axl has cancelled plenty of shows and for no reason. Grueling would be a roofer or mechanic or or carpenter or any blue collar job. maynard Posted August 9, 2012 Share Posted August 9, 2012 i would consider hard work if axl, night after night, uses his real voice, with rasp. that's not the case. he uses his clean voice, and takes breaks in between some songs, it's probably a walk in the park for him. i think he puts more passion on the after party, nowadays. Just about any major musician talks about the "grind" of touring and how much they look forward to decompressing after a tour, etc. I'm not necessarily shedding any tears for them- merely acknowlwedging that it is the "tougher" part of their job. Axl doesn't have to do the long hours every week that we have to do in our jobs but he has to get up in front of thousands of people and really entertain them non stop for 2-3 hours, night in, night out for months on end. That's a lot harder to do than you think. I think with experience it probably gets easier but if you are a tired or not feeling 100% that is an enormous amount of pressure. There's a lot of people depending on the success of the shows and he has to take more of that pressure than anyone else on stage.
