Crash Diet
jaywhofan 10 hónappal ezelőttSo, this is where Guns N Roses got their bluesy acoustic version of You're Crazy from. Interesting. lolworldwidekillerz 10 hónappal ezelőttHaha I have a collection of GNR studio takes from 1985-1994. Going from memory I think you're crazy, right.jaywhofan 10 hónappal ezelőttListen to the first minute and a half of this, and then listen to You're Crazy from GNR Lies. You can kind of sing the verses to this Zeppelin track. I also hear a lot of Magic Bus by The Who.worldwidekillerz 10 hónappal ezelőttI do hear the similarity with this and You're Crazy acoustic demo. Funnyt thing this is these two songs started out as acoustic demos! coincdence? I don't know man, maybe somebody out there knows.rip off or not?(yeah inb4 ledzepareacoverband)

alfierose
I don't know that it's stealing. Art inspires art, it could be argued that nothing is truly original. I watched a great TV show the other night but it clearly borrowed heavily from 1984 and The Running Man. Didn't stop it being great though. pugachev
When you're playing basic blues stuff like this, you're bound to find lots of stuff very similar. That being said, Don't Cry is obvious .

James Bond
Definitely a similar idea, but not a ripoff. Common figure in guitar music, especially those chords.
SweetRose
Sounds more like Magic Bus to me than You're Crazy. And I don't like the other You're Crazy demo posted up above either. Made me think of Look At Your Game Girl.
Tyler Drama
This is an alternate you're crazy acoustic demo i hear a lot of similaritiesThis track sounds like its been sped up. Not just from the tempo, but also, just listen to Axl's voice.
Nosaj Thing
And Led Zep stole Black Dog from Fleetwood Mac I always loved that riff. Blues Ball performance of the song was topnotch back in 1997.
dalsh327
I think early Fleetwood Mac gets overlooked a lot on their influence in music, but a lot of people hold them in high regard as far as British blues rock bands go. I do wish Peter, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie would do some shows, even if it was a part of the current lineup of Fleetwood Mac.
zepsun
That's actually Gallow's Poll in the Zep video. And the only time I think they've come close to almost ripping off a song:Out Ta Get Me - Jumpin Jack Flash
Dariablue
dunno. but they definitely stole cornshucker.Seriously? Some band in That Metal Show was talking about how GNR stole part of one of their songs for part of Patience.
zepsun
That Fleetwood Mac song reminds me more of Baby, Please Don't Go than Black Dog. Only similarity with Black Dog is music rests for the verse vocals.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4s3Hv58nww
