Presence vs. Rocks

Two of the hardest, most straight forward albums to come out in 1976, by two titanic hard rock bands, Presence by Led Zeppelin and Rocks by Aerosmith were two of the hardest rocking albums by both bands and among the heaviest that came out that year. Both albums are no frills, no bullshit, pure rock albums, no synthesizers or any of the extra llayers that coloured much of '70s Rock. Both even happen to have a song called "Nobody's Fault" on them.

Which do you think is better? Which do you prefer?

Listened to Presence yesterday. I use to feel it was a lackluster compared to Untitled and Physical Graffiti but I like it for what it is now.

Both are pretty fuckin shit to be honest but i'd have to give it to Rocks...thats the one with Back in the Saddle isn't it? Yeah, that'd take it, Zeppelin are just fuckin dire really.

As good as Rocks is, Achilles wins.

although I voted for presence, I do favor rocks in terms of album tracks. Rocks is arguably aerosmiths best album start to finish and presence is arguably zeppelin's weakest start to finish. Having said that achille's and nobody's fault are better than anything on rocks. Rocks is still a great album though. Get the lead out is probably my fav track on the album.

It's one of a few that personify 70's hard rock.

I'm not big on Zeppelin in the first place, and I consider Presence one of their weaker albums, maybe their weakest as a whole, so Rocks it is.
