Throw a rib at him or something.Myles would fist pump that rib right the fuck away and you know it.Fucking Myles and his slobber trained, ninja quick fist pumping action. Is there nothing that can stop him and his nasal nerd voice from ruining Slash's guitars?
bacardimayne Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 HEAD TO THE HOT DOG EATING CONTEST WITH ENTERTAINMENT FROM SLASH AND HIS BAND
magisme Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 To be fair, it's not just any ribfest. Ribfest Digest called it the number one ribfest for live music in the US.
Flayer Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Slash's playing sounded pretty great throughout, although the solo on Rocket Queen just got excessive. Myles was all right on the Slash solo material, but the voice he used for GNR material was real hammy and weird. Paradise City was a little better though cause the crowd was singing over him.Everyone was into the GnR songs. Immigrant Song and Slither got a good reception too. Slash's solo songs didn't really get anyone fired up.
bacardimayne Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 But the real question remains: how were the ribs?
Flayer Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 But the real question remains: how were the ribs?Slash asked that during his ten seconds at the mic.
magisme Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 But the real question remains: how were the ribs?Slash asked that during his ten seconds at the mic.And you still haven't answered!Nice sig, bacardi.
jonah Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Thought ribfest was good. They only played 80 minutes. Was glad to hear jungle. Still love bumblefoot/dj/Richard but slash's sound and playing can't be duplicated.
Nosaj Thing Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 but slash's sound and playing can't be duplicated.Exactly.Glad you enjoyed the show.
GnR Chris Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 I had an awesome time. I don't think the RQ solo went on for too long, but I could listen Slash solo for two hours straight. It was guitar porn.I was so happy with the set considering there were enough variations from the Chicago show last fall at the Riv.The Ribs were good depending on which place you got 'em from. lol
Slash2baz Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Did he play "Let It Roll" after "Halo" that night ? i'm just wondering...
jonah Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Did he play "Let It Roll" after "Halo" that night ? i'm just wondering... They played it as the 5th or 6th song
Guest cbgnr666 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 This must have been a pretty surreal experience.Did people just go around sampling ribs during the show?
