classicguns4life
What an idiotic choice for Slash to play on. Completely underutilizes him of all the Aerosmith songs they could have played.
magisme
Pretty fuckin' cool if you ask me. Slash can still get me fired up sometimes.
Bumblefeet
They also performed walk this way later on in the show with Dave Grohl on drums. Not a bad show, though bit too kiss ass night for Stern as is expected for a birthday bash I guess. I wished they did a proper roast of him and had more porn stars present. dalsh327
I just listened to the replay this morning and thought the pacing of it was great except for the Letterman interview. The pacing blows away the Rock Hall by a mile and any award show for that matter, because of the fucking commercials and setup/breakdown. Bababooey, Kimmel and everyone who kept things going were on the ball. Howard got roasted a bit by Joan Rivers, Jeff Ross, and Lena Dunham. magisme
I don't know why, but I find Slash's normal standing posture funny now that he's a little thicker than he used to be.
Bumblefeet
Howard got roasted a bit by Joan Rivers, Jeff Ross, and Lena Dunham. Yeah, but they need to do a proper roast of him like they did with virtually every other member on the stern show (bababooey and Artie Lange roasts being the best). I've stopped listening to the show for over a year now because the content has become too weak since he went on AGT and there's no budget anymore for wacky contests and freakshows... I tuned in for the free birthday bash and had hoped that Artie Lange would finally make an appearance again, I mean the guy is doing his own show right now and about everyone from the Stern universe has been on it, we need a reunion! magisme
It is pretty impressive how good Tyler sounds, isn't it? I don't even like Aerosmith much.
Amir
It is pretty impressive how good Tyler sounds, isn't it? I don't even like Aerosmith much.Yeah, I was considering seeing them on this tour but ticket prices are steep and I only like a handful of songs. My parents have seen Aerosmith twice in the past few years, though, had a great time.
Estranged Reality
Great performances! Surprised Slash played for Stern's birthday as I got the vibe he wasn't a big fan of his questions during the interview they did a while back, but he and Tyler sound great. Estranged Reality
I didn't think he held a grudge against him, I just didn't think he would be first on the list to play at his birthday party since I didn't get the vibe they were good friends or anything. JONEZY
Slash has been on Stern a few times. Always seemed like a friendly vibe between the two of them. Hell, even Kathy Lee Gifford showed up, Howard used to rip on her and her husband constantly.
John Bonham
ER - do you listen to Stern regularly, or follow Slash? It sounds like you don't really know either of them that well.
