Ace Nova
An all-new meteor shower makes its debut tonight, and astronomers say it could put on a show starting as early as 10:30 p.m. ET Friday and peaking early Saturday. Called the Camelopardalids, the shower is named after the giraffe constellation. It's expected to be visible in nearly all of the U.S., if skies are clear."No one has seen it before," , "but the shower could put on a show that would rival the prolific Perseid meteor shower in August."http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/05/23/315130886/tonight-s-new-meteor-shower-could-be-a-great-one-nasa-says?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=npr&utm_term=nprnews&utm_content=20140523Looks like it should be a good one. About a half an hour to go right?Yeah....don't be disappointed if you don't see them right away....it should look like a bunch of colored shooting stars, probably going off every few minutes ....and should last well into the morning. AtariLegend
Awesome, and we're having the first clouds and rain in weeks.Could be worse, you could be living in the northern UK.Always a partial eclipse here or a meteor storm or a satellite in orbit every several months or few years, passing just above our beautiful grey clouds.
