Kater
I was surprised today when a strictly pop radio station played Live and Let Die...Occasionaly they'll play SCOM, NR and DC, and maybe PC.They haven't played GNR for ages...last two years something changed. IncitingChaos
A rock station on my local channels does a 3 hit thing on Thursdays so they play 3 songs from a classic rock band in a row. They played Jungle, Civil War and Sweet Child.

Mr. Dude
The classic rock station we have on sometimes at work plays these every single day, sometimes more than once:Welcome To The JungleParadise CitySweet Child O' MineLive And Let DieNovember RainThey play these a few times a week:Mr. BrownstonePatienceKnockin' On Heaven's DoorI've heard these a handful of times over the past 2 years:NightrainDon't CryYou Ain't The FirstCivil WarSince I Don't Have YouAin't It FunHair Of The DogI hear You Could Be Mine occasionally too. I think GNR made a gradual comeback into radio rotation. I remember a period in the mid 90's when they didn't seem to get much play at all. They were left out of a lot of the alternative station formats. Somehow they were too old for the modern rock stations and too young for the classic rock stations. Now that a lot of the formats have converged back to simply "rock" stations they're getting play again. I haven't heard a CD song on the radio since 08 though.the bar I went to other day played Spag Inc all the way through. I stayed for an extra beer. It sounded good.I love going into a crowded bar and playing whole albums- especially records that completely contradict the crowd. Nothing brings me quite the enjoyment as the wave of puzzlement engulfing a crowded country-western bar as 2 hours of Sun Ra's greatest hits blares non-stop.
