She's too sweet for business yet there she is making a go of her thing and making ends meet and there's you at home, scratching your arse with a guitar pick thinking 'Why won't they let me trademark Louis Vuitton if I put a capital N at the end?' I'd fancy her chances making a go at a business before a couple of ragbags like me and you, you couldn't keep a weed alive with a watering can

Tbh, I think he just wrote all that because I've been dissing his business ideas. It was coming to me.

And Len, since we've already established that you're right about everything, you can be my first hire.

Not really, but I like that you think that.

I'm trying to bring transferable skills from the streets of South London and legitimise people's efforts; instead of dealers brokering deals with other dealers, bring that mindset and motivation and dedication to the high street - pay all dues is tricky with some, who want to pay it, but have yet to understand the importance of doing it themselves, most these people I want to help want to do it all, have their own business shotting/selling shit, but they want to do that in my name... Am like  you're missing the point.

I have people ready to play nice and flirt with potential clients who will fight if have to with everything in their arsenal (which is why I want to equip them with legalese and rights and stuff) and then have them take on the high street with me.

I see a lot of hard work on the street, I plan to help some people out with this company of mine as I establish real connections with real wholesalers and distributing stock purchased to other businesses and the general public over the internet.

Wait outside the local school and hire a few Indian boys to run your market stalls. It comes naturally to them and as the owner you can be a mentor of sorts. Every young chap should have a mentor and any businessman worth his salt is always on the lookout for talent to nurture.

I'd rather wait outside the Brit School just around the corner get a group of 16 year olds, sign them, train them for 2 years, and by the time they're 18, they'd be ready to sell/promote and perform my material.

Are you a performer too? What area of the arts? They could do well to be exposed to a multi-disciplinary approach to work.

Welcome to the Jungle, Len.

That's very hard to please

You can taste the bright lights

But you won't get them for free..."

You ain't really the full Shilling are you?

It's simple...

Sign them.

Train them.

Record them.

Promote them.

Sell them.

I'd just have a huge steak of their airplay and if I can, 100% of their record sales.

Like 50% of airplay and 100% of record sales.

The band members/artists can split the other 50% amongst themselves.

They can keep live shows and I might have to organise that? but if it helps record sales, every one wins.

Getting airplay... Is going to be expensive, it means finding £500, 000 to start a London FM Radio station... but... if I had that, I can sell advertising and play/pay in house.

Example:

Snake-Pit Records

&

Snake-Pit 69.9 FM radio

and, while I'm at it, I may as well have my record store...

Snake-PitMegaStore...

Plus, I'd want a bunch of holding companies in Delaware for the US market, and stores in the US.

Which'll mean tours to promote, advertising...

ONLY BECAUSE THEY SAY 'make your business your passion' 'do what you know' 'do what you love'.. and I'm already a CAE# number carrying composer signed up to my country's PRO (PRS) which, honestly, when I sat down and looked at business plans, seemed to make the most sense. Just so I can get what I want, for myself (nevermind the record label).. - A mechanical right from MCPS...

Best thing is though, about ownership...

I'm not against releasing covers, if I can make Warner Chappell money too, for example, if they own (or who ever owns) a song that I like, then that'll be awesome. :D

I don't mind paying/playing ball like that and seeking artists signed to other labels also (that costs too) to help my artists sales (and hopefully that can be mutual, and help their sales too)...

So like anything, to be successful, you're going to have to sell, sell, sell! - So you're going to need fresh young talent. - Brit School poaching. Because that's just local. I could do that. - Waiting in the bushes with a record contract looking for the next Amy Winehouse.. j/k on the last part.

So Pappy came back for Snakepit?

Maybe I should be an Angel investor in his business. How much do you want for 51% of your business and sole voting rights, Snake?

:D

How much you got?

More than you could handle. Oh, you mean finances?

Well, you'll have to show me some concrete plans; do you have a business plan, financial and market projections?

Oh, so now that 51% has to have terms and conditions added on does it?

Well, how much do you think 51% of nothing is worth? That's a business question, not a philosophical one. If you want people to put their hand in the pocket (and I don't mean the DHSS) then you have to show them that you are serious. So, flash me some knickers and we'll arrive at a figure from there.

Talking of which, whatever happened to your career as a male pornstar or fluffer or whatever it was?

Well since I'm at a crossroads, tell me what would you propose? Brothel? Pay per view porn on the sides... 'come to us, we'd make you famous, $1, 000 just for the experience plus sales from subscriptions of online videos of such star's 'dream porno' (cept they don't get paid)... It's a bummer but they get to fuck on camera and be their own reality king type pornstar for it.

I mean, that's just the legalist thing I can think of to start a bank roll wit' you, in CT.. have the brothel/studio anywhere. - but on the side, set up a import export thing, for US & UK/EU with revenue from all that legalised sold sex, plus the windfall of anyone who subscribes, use that to create a transatlantic export/import service with industry redefining prices... The more people who'll pay for their fantasies of being in their own dream porno... The cheaper prices to export and import'll be..

I mean, just off the top of my head here.

Refer to the 'waiting in the bushes' post  I think he realised that it aint the nobs that are in demand in that field. The field by Hampstead Heath bogs however he's made a few quid out of'

Got a right old burgling, eh? A good old Uncle Monty special.

Nothing quite like a flanker from Field Marshall Montgomery on the green I'm told!
