Hollywood Gunner Posted July 18, 2017 Share Posted July 18, 2017 (edited) took my bike by jean drapeau last weekend and saw what looked like the starting stages of whats going to be used as the metallica stage for tomorrow night. drove by again today and the stage looks done. all the tents are up but the crowd space looks very limited. didnt really see any bleachers, stands or seats... maybe theyll put those up tonight but from what i could tell it looks like its all standing room and not very much of it... im wondering if gnr is gonna use the same set up next month, looks like it from the seating or zone chart on evenkos website tho... ill try n snag a pic next time i go by there but im sure youtube vids of the metallica gig tomorrow night will give us a pretty good idea Edited July 18, 2017 by Hollywood Gunner Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So they basically took that large zone 3 and divided it into zone 3 and 4...which sucks if you payed 125$ for zone 3 tickets that you can now get for 44$.... Anyways, did anybody hear what the visibility was like at the Metallica show if you were in the back? It's a flat terrain and I'm 5"1 lol. i know a few ppl that went to metallica... zone 2 i think and didnt hear anything about a bad view... apparently there were mosh pits in every zone and body surfing throughout as well which i doubt we'll see at gnr especially in the pit im hopeful but i still think OLP will put the crowd to sleep lol same complaint i heard about the venue from several ppl was the walk from the metro was pretty far and worse if u park at laronde... and no shuttle... so bring some drinks lol im still curious to know what time gnr is supposed to hit the stage cuz apparently metallica was all done by 11... if gnr isnt im afraid theyll pull the plug due to noise levels... if that happens i can pretty much guarantee that all hell will break lose oh and the 30$ tickets were one day only. for afd's 30th 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Hollywood Gunner Posted August 2, 2017 Share Posted August 2, 2017 for anyone that knows parc jean drapeau and ile notre-dame a bit, im pretty sure the stage is set up all the at the back of ile notre-dame where the dragon boats are... past the casino, right before the victoria bridge... casino has free parking so for anyone going early it might be a good idea to park there, drop 20$ in a slot machine and walk from there since it seems to be closer to the casino than the metro... i aint getting behind the wheel and chancing a d.u.i. tho cuz u can be sure as fuck the cops will be out in full force for this thing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
