Slash himself said many times that 5 O'Clock is really a glorified demo. I still love it, and Eric is an incredible singer.

ALG is just Slash's best work outside Guns, hands down.

To all the ALG fans, you HAVE to watch the Dallas 2001 show. This is one of only two shows recorded after Slash recovered from cardiomyopathy. His playing was very weak before that, due to his heart being weakened. Whereas he is so visibly healthy at Dallas 2001 and his playing is in top form.

Back to The Moment is even better than the studio version. Just listen to his soloing in the outro, it's fucking magnificent:

 

And Serial Killer has a beautiful intro with Slash and Rod here as well:

I dearly hope to see Slash work with Rod again (maybe on the new Blues album?) or at least release everything that's unreleased from this era.
