You could listen to it without bursting out laughing. I'll take a winded Axl singing PC at the 2002 VMA's over Axl's horrendous "Yesterdays" performance at 2017 RIR any day. Maybe, there surely are certain levels, but if you listen to stuff like SCOM from those individual eras, there won't be much of a difference, not for a casual fan.
