worldwideboss
Pretty simple question: do you like to hear it or not? Why?
Axingn'r
I like it a lot on Springsteen's songs !
highvoltage
A band was playing at a bar a few weeks ago locally and they had both a sax and a trumpet in there. They were playing all sorts of funky stuff... songs like Love Rollercoaster and Higher Ground.Anyway, they were awesome. The sax and trumpet really added a lot to the sound and made the music a lot more danceable. So yeah - I like to hear it, as long as it's in the right kind of rock song. frankwhite
yeah i do, usually black rock n roll bands work it in quite well but it works in a bluesy way too, like Johnny Thunders band the oddballs.

stevGNR666
the stones used it effectively especially on exile-era stuffpink floyd used the sax to good effect as seen on moneyfor the most part, if I want to hear good trumpet or sax I listen to jazz or fusion

sweetness
Yeah, its a pretty underrated rock n roll instrument. Not only does it belt out a cool sound, but Ive seen bands where the sax player was just as much or more dominant than the lead guitarist on stage. But really good sax players are rare in the rock scene, unless were talking about big bands like Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd ect...
