Dee Dee is my fuckin' hero.  The day he died he fuckin' took a little piece of me with him.  That shit was fucked up.  And y'know, for this guy who was part of a collective that spearheaded a kind of pop culture revolution y'know what he got for it?  A little rolling bar on CNN...not even a fuckin' proper news item.  'Dee Dee Ramone dies'.  The day he died I got some silver spray paint and sprayed 'Dee Dee Ramone 1954-2002' on the back of my leather jacket.  Honestly, really, what the fuck are you doing doing dope in 2002 Dee Dee, come on.  The boy was fuckin' crazy.  Ever see that documentary 'Is Dee Dee Home?'  Its basically Lech Kowalski canabalizing all the interviews with Dee Dee he did for his Johnny Thunders documentary.  Dee Dee was it man, the original crazy junkie punk, part writer, part bass player, part rapper ( ), there will never be another like Dee Dee Ramone.  If you REALLY think about it this guy with zero fuckin' musical education or grounding, the way he just fuckin' came out and wrote these fuckin' perfectly formed Beatles-esque tracks, its pretty fuckin' mind-blowing, The Ramones were never the same after he left, irreplaceable.  Even played with GG Allin briefly, without knowing who or what the fuck he was
