Jesus Christ, this is too fast. I haven’t even digested the news yet, let alone be able to discuss next holy grails! Are you guys nuts? This is GNR, we have to take things slow!

Poll on the Perhaps/General single
jamillos replied to allwaystired's topic in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
I don’t think I can vote, because while I’m pretty positive it will eventually see the light of day, I have no clue or trust in terms of any timeline. So Idk. Ok I’m voting December, just to keep the optimism up! -
Once again, your level of graciousness and the sheer self-sacrifice required by the patient, methodical explanation and regular reiteration of this clearly evident material to anyone willing to listen is admirable, to say the least. The only small hitch I would point out if I dare is that for someone who poses as neutral and logical, you surely spend a hell of a goddamn time defending TB basically on any occasion you can jump on. Sometimes shit’s their fault, sometimes not, and generally yes it’s all up to the one man anyway, but he doesn’t control it all. Yet when I take this logic and compare it with the amount of cases you’re defending TB, there’s a huge discrepancy in basic math and logic. Like there’s some sort of a bias or inner agenda or something. So – and pardon my humble and obviously erroneous conclusions – either you’re bullshitting us, or you’re bullshitting yourself. Off to drink now, cheers!

Literally nobody is expecting that. But the band is outdoing themselves regarding the amount of incomprehensive bullshit over the years; therefore, people will react. But nobody needs your protection, you know? Experience or not. Some people here have been fans for a longer time than you – imagine how silly it looks when you’re trying to lecture them and mock them for being pissed off. Just relax, man.

@youngunner Maybe look at things in a context. Some people have been following GNR for decades. And while they surely love the band... the amount of delays, failure to deliver, non-communication, ignorance, incompetence and other fuckery and general frustrating nonsense has taken its toll, which results in people being a bit jaded, upset, and sceptical, even spiteful. That’s absolutely normal, given the circumstances. I don’t know how long you’ve been around, and I guess it doesn’t really matter, but try using some empathy and looking at the big picture, unless your sole endeavour here is just trolling, which I would also believe. Plus, where else would people vent about this than on a band-dedicated forum? Live and Let Die is a great song, but sometimes hey, live and let live. This is not the first rodeo, oh boy no.

You keep passing off your opinions as facts, while you know fuck all, like the rest of us. You don’t know whether Axl oversees every tiniest business move, and if I’m to use logic, I say he doesn’t. That’s what he hired TB for. Say what you want, they are a bunch of incompetent, arrogant hacks. Way too many examples in the past to think otherwise. Btw I’m not buying this alter ego of yours, Jarmo. Also, I should know better than to get into one of the pointless arguments with you again. Nevermore, quoth the raven.

To reiterate, the delay itself, while being a bummer, is not the main gear-grinder. It’s the fact that a) it was half-announced by the companies on the very same day, in fact a few hours after it was supposed to be released, which in a normal situation would make no sense; and b) once again, there’s not a shred of an official word from the best and most competent management under the sun.
-
That’s not one way of looking at it, that’s simply stating the facts – you said it wasn’t promised and there was just a shipping date; I’m showing you that it’s not true, as evidenced by the official web. Expectations about delivery time is a whole different story, unrelated to the original argument. One would say it’s reasonable to expect something to be officially released (disregarding any delivery schedules) on the day it was promised to be released. But oh well, this is GNR, so no surprises there.

Yes, it was bullshit from the start.
