I think Axl has no strong reason to release another GNR album

    - His voice is deteriorating with his age at 60.
    - The reception of Chinese Democracy was not as he expected.
    - There is no Izzy at the recording studio
    - Last time he recorded any hits & timeless songs were 30+ years ago
    - Statistically a new album will be way less popular and successful compared to AFD,UYI, UYII
    - Absurd (experimental) & Hardskool (classic rock sound) did not climb at top of the singles charts.
    - Guns N Roses at their 60s are not relevant towards the new generations. (They are no rebels & dangerous, but settled millionaires)
    - Still earns millions just by touring as a nostalgia act. Paying customers will always just go to listen to WTTJ. SCOM, NR, DC, PC
    - Lost the momentum of the GNR reunion, as 6-7 years have passed already.

    - Yes but his voice has sucked several times during the new era (2002, 2011+), and it got better later (06, 10, 16). Plus he can just use old recordings (see HS) and then somehow handle it live.
    - It was Axl’s solo, had no promotion etc., and half of the casuals didn’t even know what the fuck was going on and didn’t generally consider it GN’R at all.
    - Izzy’s been gone since 91. Indeed, he was an important part, but he’s not a super god; everyone is replaceable to a certain degree. And we can’t expect songs about drugs and life on the street anymore anyway. They can handle it without him.
    - We don’t know how much stuff has been recorded in the last 20 years. And yes, new material will get compared with the golden era records, but that’s the fate of every famous band. Otherwise, they could all just release one or two albums and then break up.
    - See the preceding point.
    - The first one is not worth mentioning; the second one: again, no promotion, no videos, no interviews, no TV, nothing. There’s tons of shit that could have been done... but this is GN’R. Plus the fact they don’t release anything or act as other bands in terms of promotion and communication with the fans always plays a huge role. This is no exception.
    - They are - or can be - as relevant as any other major rock band in their league these days. New generations of fans, no problem. But yes, rock n’ roll, in general, has been exchanged for pop and hip-hop shit; take a look at all the charts. No reason for these bands to wrap it up, though. Look at AC/DC etc.
    - I agree. Then again, no reason not to do anything new. Look at AC/DC etc.
    - I absolutely agree. This is mental. Again - another fuck-up and a wasted opportunity in the world of GN’R.

In short: Yes, these guys will release a new album.

I’m sorry why are we doing Spaghetti Incident lol?! I hate admit it but I’ve listened to this album so infrequently I don’t even know what songs I hate or like the most

Cause we're doing all albums, chronologically. Why skip one?

I probably sound like a male Karen, but I think "literally" is used more times wrong than correctly these days.

Here is a wrong example: "I literally cried my eyes out!" - In this example, the person would have had to have their eyes come or fall out due to crying for the use of "literally" to be correct. "Literally" should not be used to enhance something that didn't exactly happen.

Here is a correct example: "I literally shit my pants!" - In this example, it is correct if the person pooped their pants, and didn't just fart. I feel like we all can relate to this. :)

You're right (Sheldon Cooper also approves). It's used for emphasis, yet incorrectly, illogically.

What I have a beef with is this abundant, exaggerated use of "cringe". You can see it even here every day. It speaks of ignorance. You can't look at those times, its fads etc., and criticize them with today's eyes. Or rather: these folks should understand that one day, they'll be laughed at as well - by the same-minded people in the future.
Yeah, maybe I'm taking things too seriously, but it's true and it's lame.

The introduction to estranged live era:

"Tonight's happy song, kinda like a walk in the park... Sun coming through your window in the morning, and it's a beautiful day, and you've got nothing better to do than commit hairy Carrie, so..."

And I assumed hairy Carrie was some sort of sexual act.

    I think he's saying "It's a nice happy song..."

  4. Just a reminder - something that actually factually is about Axl:

    The fire started long ago
The flames burned out, still embers glow
    So charred and black
There's nothing left to burn, to burn

    We had the same dream
    Lived life to extreme
A loaded gun jammed by a rose

The thorns are knots around your head
Your ego cursed you till you bled
    You cannot crucify the dead
    To me you're dead, yeah

The future is unset in stone
    Decisions past leave you alone
Betrayed us all with your own selfish greed, your greed, yeah

    New soldiers now say
    That your beggars collect
    Re-crucified and paid by you

The thorns are knots around your head
Your ego cursed you till you bled
    You cannot crucify the dead
    To me you're dead, yeah

We were like brothers with the world in our hands
You always have too much to say
Someday you look back and you wonder why
You let it all slip away, yeah

    Crucify the dead
    Crucify the dead

The thorns are knots around your head
Your ego cursed you till you bled
    You cannot crucify the dead
    To me you're dead, yeah
