  1. Great lyrics and one the best GNR's covers. The 'sound of a band breaking up' perhaps shouldn't be taken that seriously. I think we know why Slash said that, but when you think about it, if they weren't breaking up, continued normally and there wasn't any beef over the song (and we didn't know someone else's guitar was added), I'm positive we'd have quite a different approach to this song. It's not really a sound of a band breaking up, that's just the reality surrounding it that makes us see it with those eyes. It's awesome.

That's not their call to do so in regards to having a festival. I'm sure that GNR would probably at some point visit Miami again.

I didn't mean a festival, I simply meant adding another Miami date that would be in that area or directly there, if possible. It would be nice, is what I meant. And that T-shirt thing would be cool.

You talking festival management or GnR management?  Because GnR didn’t make the call the festival did.

GNR. I know, but why couldn't they do it like this later?

I think you are incorrect about this. I had tickets for the Foo Fighters concert at Citi Field. Foo Fighters cancelled their tour due to the passing of Taylor Hawkins. I got refunded for the tickets that I paid. I think in situations like this where festival organizers took it upon themselves to cancel the show, there might be a refund.

Unsure what you mean by this. Festival organizers cancelled the show. Not GNR management.

Yes, but the band can make it up to the locals, why couldn't they?

That's what people were saying in 2016 when he was rumoured for the AC/DC gig and then he pulled it out of the bag!

I don't wanna be negative, but he was somewhere completely different vocal-wise in 2016. Well, let's hope for the best!

I think that’s two different things. He probably sings the Mickey way to save what’s left from his mid range but I think he blew some of his upper range with AC/DC. When you watch videos of the Axl/DC NA tour 2016, that’s the first time he struggles to hit high notes and it stayed that way after the tour finished (that’s why he can’t sing ie the Better bridge properly anymore).
Imo him sounding like Mickey doesn’t have anything to do with AC/DC but him not reaching the high notes anymore does

You’re absolutely right, but some people will never understand this. Sustainability is one thing, but another thing is the fact that there are spots where rasp should be and he’s clearly reaching for it, yet the throat is not having it and the result just sounds bad.
I don’t know how much this magical "practicing" or even "rehearsing" can do about it (the latter being basically just warm-up before the show).
Again, I do think he still has something left in the tank – and I never doubted he still can nail it in the studio. Short portions – no problem. It’s the tireless, endless, unnecessary touring that ruins him.

  6. No. If there wasn’t for AC/DC, he could have used that power he still had in 2016 gradually in GN’R shows, in a sustainable manner, for years on and he still would have sounded good (better than in the few years before). But this thing took a huge toll, and you could hear it as early as in 2017 (actually towards the end of 2016 already). I understand he had to do that, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and a dream come true. But now, we’re condemned to just glean whatever scraps there may be and grasp every glimpse of rasp/power voice that occasionally occurs (essentially sounding like Herbert the Pervert having micro hissy fits). As per usual, it may get slightly better during the course of the tour, but his voice has been shot for a few years now, basically since 2018, with some surprising exceptions. It’s not about practicing, it’s not about a vocal coach any more.
Sure, miracles could always happen, I’m still an optimist. But why wouldn’t he have sounded better if he could recently? I don’t buy that "he’s lazy" nonsense.
Maybe it also depends on the drive – NITL was stale in the last years.
Maybe they need to, you know, release something.
    I want to believe.

The only podcasts I tend to listen to are true crime related, some of which are:

    Murder mile

    Casefile

    Trace evidence

    They walk among us

    They walk among America

    Unseen

    Unresolved

    The trail went cold

    True crime all the Time

True crime all the time unsolved

    Morbidology

    Criminology

I also listen to a few kiss pods and appetite for distortion.

When your working alone for 7 hours a day 4 days a week and 10 hours a day 2 days a week you tend to get thru a lot of podcasts

I don't listen to any podcasts, generally don't know anything about them, was just curious, so I peeked here. Anyway, judging from your post, you might like this YT channel I came across the other day. There used to be more videos, but it's still awesome.

That sentiment came from many different sources. The media (whom he threatened to kick their ass), the fans at the shows, members of the band, management, etc.

The confirmation bias among you guys incessantly pushing this narrative apparently knows no bounds.

AXL has never stated that the lyrics are about SLASH. IIRC he was even asked about it and claimed it wasn’t about SLASH.

So unless you have hard evidence to the contrary, you’re just talking out of your ass. And for that I’m sorry for you, not sorry for me ;).

I literally said he'd literally said it sometime is a mash. And considering the circumstances... I wouldn't expect him to admit "yes, it's only about him". So I'll keep this possibility it was partially inspired by him as well, you know, given the literal sentence he was told etc. But you can believe whatever you want, I'm not pressing anyone.
