  1. It was six for me each way. I wanted to see the first show of tour because I hadn't before. Well I was at Hammerstein but I can't remember if that was first or not. For two hours, you wouldn't have to get a hotel and you should be able to get in very cheaply through the box office or StubHub so hopefully it's a good show for you guys.
  2. There is no cut off as far as I know. I was at that show and was able to get tickets from the box office during the opener. Probably cheaper there as well as I assume there are less fees. The venue is terrible for sightlines and the sound wasn't the best either. I went as a "tourist" from Western New York and spent the day before the show in the park but I wouldn't go back anytime soon.
  3. Music is subjective but yeah if you were to poll 100 Gn'R fans you might find one or two that like it more than AFD or the Illusions.
  4. I couldn't name a song but just from being a music nerd and without going to Wikipedia,I think he was/ is (most likely was) a member of the Scorpions. An Axl/Slash appearance should double his new album sales from 500 to 1,000.
  5. No it's not. People were convinced Axl and Slash wouldn't share the stage again. Money talks and the AFD 5 reunion card has yet to be played.
  6. People laughed when Sixx brought up touring with Guns but if Live Nation wants it, it'll happen. I don't know how the tour is selling but Gn'R aren't going to continually get their $3-5(?) million dollar ask per show with sales like these.
  7. What songs has Fortus written on the level of More Than Words, Hole Hearted,Hip Today,Get The Funk Out,Rest In Peace or Rise?
  8. How so? What has Fortus written that's in the league of the GTFO solo that was praised by Brian May?
  9. More touring, new singles/album and then going out in 2027 for AFD 40 with Izzy and Adler.
  10. Been a fan of Myles since I saw his old band The Mayfield Four open up for Big Wreck 25 years ago. Would love for SMKC to bust out Always but I doubt it'll happen.
  11. Guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan still look the part of grizzled rockers who only function at night, but Axl Rose has not aged so stylishly, resembling a small-town hairdresser who has been working out too hard at the gym. The real problem was his singing, however. His voice used to have a shrieking Banshee power but it has become kind of lumpy, with a toneless falsetto and a honking low range, and he switches between these modes with little apparent logic. His vocals were mixed way too loud, when, let’s face it, what everyone wants to hear is Slash unleashing overloaded solos containing every note on the scale, often all at the same time. Guns N’ Roses are frankly too good to be bad, but the best-received song was their heavy-handed version of Paul McCartney’s Live and Let Die, which sounded rather better when the great man himself played it in 2022.
  12. I know we're all industry experts but will they have another show with this much coverage? If there was a new album coming, I'm guessing this would have been the show to announce it? I'm a music nerd so I know of Glastonbury and looking at their schedule,it doesn't seem they'll have a more high profile show than this anytime soon .
  13. Gn'R and STP are two of my top five bands so to me ,they were awesome. When he was on ,Weiland was one of the best front men I've ever seen live. The last time I saw them, they put on a great two hour show. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/velvet-revolver/2007/darien-lake-performing-arts-center-darien-center-ny-3d62503.html
  14. Freese rocks! Ten or so years ago when he played a local radio festival with Sublime w/Rome. Very cool to stop and chat after and sign my chi dem vinyl which now has Bumble, Dizzy, Pitman,Stinson,Frank ,Fortus, Freese and I'm sure I'm forgetting others. Also I'm wearing a Mygnrforum shirt.
  15. They should release the album in November to celebrate 15 years since Chinese Democracy and it should feature 15 songs that didn't make Chinese but now they feature Slash/Duff and Melissa!
  16. We,the Gn'R nerds have. The average fan hasn't.
  17. If Bad Obsession is in the set does this mean Gn'R have opened up the purse strings and brought back Teddy Big Bag?
  18. In 5-10 years time we won't even be able to complain about the setlists for shows we aren't at. I will try to attend the final Gn'R show whenever that is (presumably a stadium in LA) and then I'll attend again when they unretire and pull a Motley Crue.
  19. The first couple shows are always fun to follow then it's back to OMFG JUNGLE!!11(TM)
  20. Not really a prediction, they are just going off record label contacts is my guess. Plans can change. Who knows how long it takes to gear up for an album release? Blink 182 (Yes,haha Blink, though right now they are a bigger touring act than Guns in the US) reunited last year , are on a huge tour and released a number one rock single last October with the full length album completed recently and due out this October.
  21. Who knows. I'm a music nerd so that's why I know of the HIL page. Clearly they have more information than the average fan. Also I have no idea how far in advance albums are on the labels schedule but we're halfway through the year already. I've always thought an album with the three union will come out,I guess just not soon.
  22. Sure. Look at their page. They even just got a notice from QUOTSA over posting their album cover. They've been a well known page for ten years.
  23. Maybe this will count as something different in the setlist if Duff does this for his solo spot.
