Here we go.  Why do some Europeans (in this case, a German), always have to take shots at America?  Like we're a bunch of dumb idiots with no sense of culture, stuck in a bubble?  Maybe this guy is upset because Germany is 0-2 in World Wars and in both instances, were dramatically on the wrong side of history to boot.

Geez. You're kinda shooting yourself in the foot with that reasoning. I'm not a german, but since Austria had it's share there too, I can guarantee, that we absolutely do not identify with any of the world wars or what happened back then. Has nothing to do with us.

Pretty sure they’ve had film crews with them for years.  I think every show is still proshot or semi-proshot at minimum. I’d almost bet even the Chinese years were too.  Maybe not studio stuff, but otherwise. Just speculating.  Even when Meegan is filming you can see people Filming on stage at times.

Yes. They are filming for the screens.

Iron Maiden is playing tonight at a different venue in NL and they announced before GN'R. I guess they draw kind of the same audience. GN'R have played here 3 times now, so all the casuals have already had a chance to see them. Also, a lot of people farther north in the country can't be bothered to drive this far south, especially since it's a working day.

All things considered (:slash:), these are hopefully the right ingredients for an intimate 3,5 hour show with a good setlist :D.

I haven't checked the setlist yet for the shows on this tour because I want to be surprised tonight. Something special about not knowing what songs they'll be playing or which song's coming up next

How stupid do you have to be to book both on the same night?

Is this something common? Normally they do the interview and at the following day or 2 days after we get them

    Not if it's for print.

I disagree. Outside of this forum, HTGTH, and the Ultimate Classic Rock website, the news of Absurd and Hard Skool’s releases in 2021 came and went with no fanfare. A release of something new now will have the same minimal impact, unless Axl, Slash, and Duff sit down with a legitimate music news outlet or publication, and discuss the song and what follows thereafter.

This isn’t 1991, when Guns was the biggest band in the world, and the wait for the UYI releases was maybe the most talked about event in music history at that time.

If they would announce a proper album, not some EP with leftovers and live songs, it still would be a big deal.

You really think that true music enthusiasts cares one bit what the public or casual concert goers think about anything? Why do you care what the public thinks about things? That’s fucking sad 😂

now go listen the Spotify top 40 with the public.

Totally missing the point.:lol::facepalm: But whatever.

You care, you keep going on about no one caring about keyboard players in rock bands, then someone corrects you and proves that loads of people do and then you go off again on the same point. Are you Pele? At least pele was right.. you ain't.

Nah. I don't. Nothing got corrected. People don't give a shit about keyboard players in hard rock bands. Naming examples from 50 years ago in pop rock bands (which still don't mean shit other than to die hard fans) don't count. No one gives a shit about Dizzy Reed. No one considers him a proper member like Axl, Slash and Duff. None of the other members is merchandise material, which was the original issue.

But lets not denigrate him to just some session guy who happens to have been in GnR for 33 years.

And yet he's just that. He contributed nothing that mattered in the big scheme of things. And now, I'm done.

One of the very first Rock Songs was written and played on the piano (Little Richard - Tutti Frutti).

Who cares? The public still doesn't give much shit about keyboard players in GNR type bands. And you can protest now until your blue in the face. Still won't change the fact that no one gives a shit about Dizzy Reed. Even at the RnR HOF introduction, done by a musician, Billie Joe barely knew what to say about Dizzy.

It’s only open on gig days.

Well, then they should change the wording. And what's the point. You have to sit in the stadium to order the stuff. You can't do it once you got home?

It is official, just a bit different.

Yeah. Obviously. They are advertising it. It's disappointing that there is a difference in quality.

They aren't labelled as GNR shirts, Gildan are a cheap and nasty brand..the official stuff sold at gigs are Guns branded and can not be bought on merch truck, nothing at a gig is sold on there...its all different !

Look at the photos, quality is a huge difference

That's disappointing. Especially since they are advertising the tour truck at each show. Oddly enough though, it says that it is closed and will open again, once they are on tour. What??!

Just tell me why a band would benefit from not promoting every member now and then?!

I know this is a legacy act, but still. Even out of respect for dizzy or ritchard

Nah. You tell me how they would. GNR is Axl/Slash/Duff. The machine is going regardless of who else stands on the stage next to them. There is nothing to be gained from making a fuss about who the people next to them are. They get their shout out during band introductions. That should be enough.

    15 minutes ago, bmus1 said:

At this point aren’t they the longest tenured lineup of GNR?

And still they contributed nothing to what makes/made GNR great. So that's irrelevant.

What the fuck has your sad little trolling to do with this thread? There’s a gig in Rome tonight.

It's the natural way of how the convo went, regarding how the hired hands might feel about not being on the merch (and elaborating on why that is the case). Not my problem if you lack reading comprehension and think people are trolling, if they don't kiss their asses and don't give a shit about them. Don't read on, if you don't like it.

I wonder If Dizzy had played on Appetite if he’d be getting the same treatment as the big 3?

Not sure, how Slash would think about it, because in his mind he's not needed and only there because Axl insisted on it, but for the public, for sure. Because then he would have been there from the beginning, as far as the public is concerned. But then again, who gives a shit about the keyboard player in a rock band? :P;)

haha aw Dizzy is part of guns ,course he is. He is in some of our early 90's tour books. Can't miss out our DR ! and Duff is eminent too. Duff is slightly lesser? ...nope, i don't agree with you (or any general attendance opinion) there at all.

    dizzyreed.jpg

Not even Slash accepts Dizzy as a full member. Also he's not part of the partnership. I don't care if you agree. All people know who Axl and Slash are.  But some people are hard pressed to name Duff. In the public's mind he is slightly lesser.

If they don't want to put all seven people on an artwork at the same time, they could have multiple artworks. Maybe have the 3/AFD5 on one artwork, and the other 4 on another. Or shuffle around which people are on which artworks (e.g. Axl + 3 people, Slash and Duff + 2 people one time, and then another time it could be Duff + 3 people, Axl + Slash + 2 people.). Not sure if it's worth costwise to commission and print multiple artworks, but the band management could try that method for a while if they wanted to, to see if it's cost effective or not.

Total bullshit idea. None of the other guys are Guns N' Roses. So it's good, exactly the way it is.

Guilherme Neto (TB's relative). He doesn't shares his pictures on his IG. GN'R provides them to publications (and sometimes posts them on the band social media). E.g.:

Oh. Okay. Makes sense. I thought he has a Fernando vibe. ;) Yeah. Why get professional photographers!? Then again, Kat wasn't a professional either, when she started out.

Don't see though how they are supposed to be "much better" or even just better than the ones by Kat.

Honestly who cares? I like the new person's stuff better anyway, it's in color and they've been posting some cool video clips on Instagram (with actual live audio too). This is how they should've been doing it all along.

And where can that stuff be seen? Who's the guys name/Instagram?

  17. Fun moments, when everyone on stage and off stage got excited when someone in the front pulled out a toy dolphin... ehm, turns out it wasn't a toy dolphin, but dolphin masks...  during Estranged and when, after Axl warning people that it's gonna be loud, the Pain Train didn't work. Well, for the one guy responsible for it, the latter was terrifying when it didn't work. You could just see him go pale. ;) After Axl previously showed the middle finger to Jarmo and later explained that he shows his people that they are number 1, the way people always show Axl that he's number one, he quipped that the person responsible for the pain train is not number 1 anymore. And Gio and the other personell kinda approached the guy to wish him luck. Also when Axl sat on the chair next to Meegan for a while.
