The fact the VIP tickets are that much money and the band can’t even be bothered to meet you should get the whole tour cancelled and band sued for financial damages.

Well. You don't need to buy VIP tickets. No one forces you to buy VIP tickets. They are upfront that they won't sell themselves out like whores for pictures with VIP ticket buyers. And I think that's great, as that practice of paid Meet and Greets is tacky and sicking (charging the very people that put you in the position to charge people for pictures). People who pay those VIP prices are idiots. You are not a VIP anyway, when you have to pay for it.

I remember this too and I was salty. However, I go to a lot of shows and waiting it out has not worked for any of them this year. Something changed with ticketmaster/live nation. I was waiting out arena dates like Smashing Pumpkins and tickets never dropped. Dealing with Ticketmaster ALWAYS makes me feel like shit regardless. And it's always the diehards who get stuck paying the highest prices.

Yeah. That's it. 4 years ago I was looking to see Janet Jackson in Honolulu. All tickets were mad expensive and crap....  row 5 backwards. Then suddenly, about a month before the show, cheaper tickets (300 $) came up in the first and second row center. I bought for 3 shows. The day after I found out, that there was a Ticketmaster discount code, with which I could have gotten the same tickets for 50 %. Really, those assholes at Ticketmaster thrive on shitting on the fans. Whatever you do, you always feel you've done the wrong thing.

This list is hardly an experience. They are mostly pointless

You pick your ticket up from a VIP booth! I couldn't care if I got my ticket from a donkeys barn.

You get your photo taken infront of a poster saying VIP. Wow

You get to ask some random bloke how long it takes to set up the lighting. Who gives a shit.

    Another FN Laminate! No comment

The chance to spend more money on more shit merch. So kind

2 whole beers. Wow leave the car at home

And a DJ playing GNR CDs while you sit on a seat with a GNR cushion. Take my money now!

For the KISS $1000 Package you get a photo with the band and get to watch the soundcheck

Basically.  I guess the experience is you letting them take you for a ride and leave you fucked in the ass. Well, I guess some people enjoy that.

Just as an aside, I hate that rock and roll is becoming a pricey, luxury industry. I don't blame them for wanting to go for the money, but still - sad.

Yeah. That sucks. And less and less favourable to the average man. Imagine buying that shit and then you can't go. They won't even let you return it or transfer it to someone else.

Is it cool or does it get tiring/boring?

I mean of course, the place/venue, people/crowd adds to the experience. But I meant the band and the show itself, with almost same setlist. Not judging or mocking, in fact,  I am contemplating on watching 2-3 shows in Europe this July, but I am afraid I might find it boring the 2nd time around in such a short time. Or you guys still get lots of fun?

    THANKS!

No, it doesn't. Just the effort getting to the venue/front row does. The having to plan on how much you can drink, when to show up, how to run to get to the front. Then again, when it all works out, it's one of the greatest feelings in the world (and of course the travelling part itself is nice too, when you get to also see other stuff). Though I rarely watch show recordings other than my own. Watching random recordings gets boring to me. But I've never been bored being at a GNR show and usually always end up wanting more.

You forget that for most of us it s our favorite band, soundtrack of our life and so on. Plus they are getting old so why should we skip their gigs just because the setlist doesn’t change much?? Either you love to hear those songs or you don’t 🤷‍♀️

Well, what does he know? He thinks GNR was '98 - '02.:facepalm: He's not a GNR fan, so he has no clue.

They didnt regulate EE sales as long as many wanna buy it?

Yeah. It looked like that. But I don't think it was the official EE. Just something the local promoter did. It also wasn't much more expensive than regular. Maybe 30 to 50 €. Either way, there was a long ass line for EE, but almost no one queued up for the regular entrance. Usually it's the other way round.

Pretty sure the friends arena Stockholm holds 60,000 when I saw GNR there

Well, Friends Arena is a stadium that has a retractable roof. Nanterre has a fixed roof. So it is the biggest indoor concert hall. Not so easy these days, with several stadiums now having retractable roofs.

Premium Early Entry is for Standing area A (some kind of golden circle), and Early Entry is for Standing area B.

Ah, okay. Thanks. They are really milking it. But 250 € for regular Early Entry is a good price. I wonder how much they sell. There was also a rather cheap Early Entry in Gdansk. Turned out though that half the stadium had Early Entry.

    Newsletter.

Exactly. The promoters run a business to make a profit. They aren't insane GNR fans giving the band money so they can keep doing shows. After mech and beer sales I guarantee they turn a profit on every show.

Exactly. And they don't nessesarily need sell outs to do that. Some people here don't get that.

No way. If you read here stadiums are half empty and they have to give away tickets lol 😂

And yet they get booked into stadiums again. What does that tell you??

What did you choose? I am also trying to buy for this venue, but I am not sure what to choose. maybe this early entry is the best option....

For the price, definitely EE. But be aware. The stage could be very, very high.

Did you hope for Switzerland to be cheaper than Germany?

    Not really.

Oh cool. I will be in Mannheim for RHCP this June!

So EE is just front row right? They wont sell too much that some will end up 2nd row?

Are you going to one of the shows btw?

Obviously, if you wanna be dead center, you absolutely could end up second row or third row. I guess you will always be able to be front row with EE, but way on the side, which kinda sucks. I'd say you relatively easy get front row on the side also without buying EE, when your first in line with the regular people.
