  1. I had low expectations for Slash's solo on Perhaps, but that wasn't too bad. Definitely interested to hear what the studio version sounds like...
  2. Slash and Duff re-recorded maybe half a dozen songs, but that doesn't mean that's all the CD material that Axl had ready to go. He mentioned almost a decade ago CD2 had been done for a while, and even if you include OMG and Going Down, I doubt the album was only 8 songs. Hopefully most of the CD songs are eventually released on a box set without Slash and Duff...
  3. I'd like to hear this lineup do an acoustic version of Sorry... The one in Paris was just a random acoustic show they did after a regular show, I think? I know they did "acoustic after-party shows" in 2006 when they played London and NYC. The fashion show performances in 2010 were in NYC, and they did 3 of them I think?
  4. I don't think they've ever had one but there's a few bands who do their acoustic sets on smaller stages, and it's cool for the people at the back of the venue if the b-stage is near the back of the floor. Just put them on one big couch, Frank and Melissa get tambourines and maybe Dizzy plays piano on Wichita/KOHD.
  5. And it would be a good excuse to play You Ain't The First again. An acoustic set somewhere near the middle of the show would be nice. They sometimes do Nov Rain/KOHD/Wichita near the end of the main set but by that point it feels like a lull in the show. It would be cool if they did a main set that was mostly fast-paced then an acoustic set as the first encore. It would also be cool if they did it on a B-stage like the Stones...
  6. Guess Axl got tired of doing "the same shit" again?
  7. I think their version of Patience is fine but I'd like to see them do a completely acoustic version. I've wanted them to bring back the acoustic sets for a while and stripped down versions of Patience, KOHD and maybe even Nov Rain would be pretty cool.
  8. "Who the fuck just yelled Perhaps!? That's an illegal leak!"
  9. Doesn't sound worse than normal but it's hard to tell, because there's only 1 stream and it sounds like it's underwater.
  10. For those who've heard them soundcheck Perhaps - does Slash play a solo that's even close to the demo version?
  11. It was better than expected, but yea he still sounded weak for a lot of the show. I see a lot of complaints about his mic "dropping in and out" but the mix on songs like Rocket Queen did him a lot of favours last night. I'll still be able to make a decent Live EP from this broadcast though, and the general public didn't consider it a disaster, so it's about as good as it gets for 2023 GNR...
  12. They cut the RQ jam so that KOHD could finally reach 30 minutes long. It will truly be an epic Glastonbury moment... and maybe even 2 piss breaks.
  13. Normal instrumental and Mickey Axl is almost inaudible... best RQ in a long time lol.
  14. Yea... Down On The Farm should've either been the opener or played early in the set. Sounds awesome.
  15. I usually check out around Estranged with cellphone live streams, but this mix is fantastic, and doing Axl some favours...
  16. Nice, didn't know they were on now. Just started streaming their set. I'm seeing them the night before I see GNR in October.
  17. This thread honestly reminds me of the Rock In Rio 2011 stream... lots of excitement, potential for new songs, but it could end up being an absolute disaster. Either way it will be entertaining, I've got some beers ready.
  18. Does it matter which one I'm watching or is GNR's set live on both of these channels?
  19. Yea it's got some good songs, obviously had some massive hits, but as a full album it doesn't do much for me...
  20. The first 2 Arctic Monkeys albums are fuckin solid. Favourite Worst Nightmare is one of the best albums of the 2000s. Can't say much for their stuff after that, though...
  21. Yes, it's most likely to do with live sound, but let us have hope that Axl has finally ditched Caram and brought in some professionals to help with studio songs
  22. @janrichmond why is the word w0ke still being filtered? Oldest Goat stopped ranting about it a while ago...
  23. Would be cool to see Axl and Duff do a song together again - Raw Power, So Fine or even You Ain't The First (since Duff played it each night on his Tenderness tour)
