Decades ago!

That would make a decent cover art for a new album. I never liked the CD bike cover. Cover B (red hand) and Cover C (grenade) were amazing. It would be cool if they somehow reused those for a single release.

I tried to do that at my bar, after Perhaps, and after Hard Skool, but Absurd wasn't playable, probably due to the explicit lyrics.

Maybe they pulled it to add more hey heys

I wonder if when Perhaps was pulled from TouchTunes, if it was abruptly cut off on any machines it happened to be playing on at that time.

Well that’s a bummer. Indeed, it’s no longer available on TouchTunes. At least we had some fun this weekend! I hope we get a full release this Friday. Though, I wouldn’t count on it.

It's possible they played the Buckethead/Robin/Bumblefoot solo version of Atlas for Slash. Or maybe they played the Brian May version too, all would be good for inspiration.

I was pleasantly surprised. I like everything about the new version more than the demo, except Slash’s solo. That’s probably it! I need to go to the bar again this week to hear it 😆

To be fair, Perhaps originally had Robin’s solo. Shouldn’t have been too hard for Slash to do it justice.

When setting up TouchTunes, it wants your “DJ” name, so I picked Ashba. Haha So DJ Ashba will be playing Perhaps at one or more bars in Michigan. Sorry if I double posted. Played Perhaps then Hard Skool now at my bar. Early on a Sunday. There’s kids here so no Absurd 😂

Good point, I plan on going to one later this morning then. I’ll have one beer and perhaps listen to a song. I have 30 credits. If it’s still available tonight I’ll play it for the super small bar near my home, myself present or not. Perhaps it’s the best gift to stranger patrons!

There’s a few bars near me with this song. I think I’ll go to one tonight to have a listen. The closest one to my house is a very small town so that one would be best. Could be some weird locals though. But that’s ok. Perhaps I’ll bless them.

Possibly. I was surprised to hear Slash say they did their parts on CD songs during the lockdown, I imaged it was done shortly after the reunion. If Axl indeed struggles with having them ruin CD stuff, I sure hope he has secured the older mixes with all of Robin and Bucket for a future bonus release. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t care about the jarring transition in Perhaps. Or perhaps it was a protest. Imagine Robin’s reaction, should he hear it. It hurts the song a bit. But, after the song is out in high quality, I bet someone could do a custom mix putting Robin’s solo there in whole.

Doesn’t Scraped have an editing error too with the vocals. I think a word gets cut off, almost unnoticeable. It’s otherwise a great song. Sure, the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but it’s one damn good rocker, great Axl vocal performance and a killer Bucket solo.

That was a thread where people were recalling stories of meeting musicians/celebrities. One guy was in Florida the summer of 2003, happened to see Axl at a restaurant he was at. He chatted with Axl, and surprised Axl when he mentioned The Blues (the fan heard it from a bootleg of a performance) Axl invited him over to his table, and later played him some demos from CD in his Ferrari. I think he said 8 demos, may have been an estimate. When someone asked the poster if he played anything that didn’t make the album, he said yes, and said Axl played a song called 100 Cuban Skies which is about cigars. Not sure if it had vocals or not.

You are correct. I’m not comfortable talking about the details through PM, but offered SoulMonster a phone call, which he wasn’t too keen on which is understandable. A website really tells it all, with their article with MSL. They published a list of all the documents he had, the titles of which reveal a lot of info. The original screenshot wasn’t from my PC, you can’t tell from what leaked but the original screenshot was from a PC running Windows XP.

There was A LOT that went down involving MSL and things related to that list. Surprisingly, most of it was not BS. PM incoming.
