  1. Ordered 3 of the vinyls and two of the die cast race cars. Shipping (domestic, I'm in the US) was about $33. Take my money! Cool seeing The General as a B side. Maybe the new album is around the corner?
  2. Was the week delay caused by a video export issue on Fernando's Windows Movie Maker?
  3. If you are referring to the second time Axl says: "what a weight upon your shoulders..." the 2000 Village mix had that effect on it. I agree on the production, it's significantly better than Hard Skool and Absurd. I really hope if they make it on the eventual next album, they give them a proper mix. I have no idea what is going on with the Hard Skool drums, they are awful. The Absurd drums sound good, but are too low in the mix, IMO.
  4. Aside from the awkward/weird intro, Scraped is a real banger, at least to me. Corny lyrics, but a fucking great vocal delivery by Axl, and a killer Buckethead solo. Drop the Scraped intro, the long CD intro, the long Riad intro, then squeeze Atlas on there.
  5. Do you honestly believe the few songs we got on CD that were not in the Village leaks were all the band has worked on from 2001-2014?
  6. I can't wait for someone here with the appropriate ear and skills to seamlessly add in Robin's solo to the released mix, assuming that's possible using the leak and final version. Hopefully they don't pull Robin's solo from the earlier leak that was tampered with and had the quality reduced. (you can hear hissing in the beginning, as if it came from tape, which was added) Whomever did that was an ass.
  7. The sad part is they could get away with saying that if the song was one that hadn't leaked before. For example, let's say they eventually release a new single that we have not heard of by name or in any other form, they could claim it's actually new, while it was originally recorded by Buckethead/Finck/etc. in 2002, vocals from 2004 and we wouldn't really be able to refute that without having a leak of an earlier mix.
  8. It’s too bad the embedded demo is the initial leak that had the quality deliberately reduced and tampered with.
  9. I asked Fortus some time ago if he would play Bucket’s parts on future material. He said any parts he played would be his own, implying he wouldn’t copy other performances note for note.
  10. They didn’t credit Buckethead for his kill switch intro in Absurd. Unless Fortus says that is his playing, I’m going with it being Robin.
  11. That’s because they are the same. They don’t necessarily have to credit every one or every second.
  12. I bought Hard Skool and Absurd there, for some reason Hard Skool didn't have high res, but Absurd did. I'll buy Perhaps there in high res when it's available.
  13. I wonder what both sides of the eventual Perhaps audio cassette will have. My guess, is they will wait until after The General is dropped. So side G (A) will be The General, and side R (B) will be Perhaps. Maybe they will include Atlas, but I don't think only Atlas and Perhaps should be paired, but the three would be welcome on an EP if they include a rocker like Zodiac 13 or Oh My God with them. 4 "new" songs. I could dig that, given the circumstances.
  14. Imagine they ONLY release it to radio and no streaming platforms or digital download for a few weeks.
  15. When searching "perhaps" on Spotify, under Albums Chinese Democracy (album) shows up. When searching "atlas shrugged" on Spotify, Guns shows up, and under Songs Hard Skool comes up. This is in the US.
  16. I listened to it twice at the bar. I felt it was better than the Village version (which I liked) in every way, except Slash's solo. I bet, once the song is available for download, someone could splice in Robin's solo to make an "ultimate mix" of Perhaps. It would have been cool if they kept the sound effects in the end too, which I didn't hear in the jukebox version.
  17. I really hope it comes out on Friday. I'll buy the single, and order it on physical media, if possible, then will go to the bar and listen to it there a few times on the jukebox.
  18. When my dad and I see Guns or any other band instead of beating the rush we enjoy the entire show and chill for 30 or more minutes after, it’s cool to absorb the venue after such a performance. Then by the time we leave, there’s not as many people there and less traffic.
  19. I’ll have to listen harder next time to hear the laugh. Maybe they left it in for giggles since it was a rough mix.
  20. I don’t remember a laugh at the end of the Village Perhaps. Was it faint? I just remember Axl ending it with an “all alone!” then some whistling instrumentals
  21. Does it really take a week to restore Robin’s solo in the mix? That’s assuming it comes out this Friday.
  22. I don't think it's an issue with Axl recording anything, it's releasing tracks that has been an issue.
