  1. After Perhaps comes out, can’t we then know it’s “number” (I forget the correct term, it’s a type of registration) and see if it fits along with the number range reserved that also includes Hard Skool and Absurd?
  2. I have the US version of the vinyl, and it is awful quality! I've considered selling it, and using the money towards the superior EU pressing.
  3. Hard Skool borrowed a little from Eye On You. Nothing was on the CD2 list in 2008 as "Nothin", as a song considered for it. So that implies they worked on it since the 2000 mix, or at least still viewed it as something they wanted to finish and release.
  4. I believe CD has been out of print for a while, at least in the US. I usually pick up used copies when I find them locally (some are still sealed, Best Buy sticker included) to give away to friends/family.
  5. That's how a lot of people want to enjoy their favorite bands. In a comfortable, seated setting, occasionally standing, much more like a theatrical experience. There are others who like to jump and dance around, etc. That's why there's a pit. I wouldn't go so far as to call the people that prefer the calmer setting as "shit". It's what they like, and thus they get those seats. Myself, I prefer to sit and stand occasionally, maybe a little dancing, some singing along, so I'm somewhere between but mostly the sit down type at concerts, it's how I like to enjoy such performances.
  6. I use that too, I bought Absurd and Hard Skool from there. I plan to buy Perhaps from there as well, and of course the following physical media when it's available 6 months later with The General.
  7. I really hope it's Friday. Been having a rough few weeks at work and it was something to look forward to, however small.
  8. I'm in the US and am getting GN'R results for Atlas Shrugged in Spotify as well. I didn't a few days ago. Perhaps still works. The General and Soul Monster have not worked for me in several months, but they did come up before.
  9. I think the biggest missed opportunity with GN'R was them not delivering on the trilogy of CD albums, especially if they heavily featured Buckethead. Of course, we all agree another missed opportunity was TSI being the last album with the classic lineup, and at this point, it may be too late for them to do anything about that, seeing how they are struggling with handling the material left from the CD sessions.
  10. I feel like that version of Hard Skool would be a great album opener. Then followed by Zodiac, with that piano intro so folks are initially mislead into thinking it's a slower ballad song then BAM!
  11. The Village version has (by most reasonable standards) a far better drum take, and a better mix over all, ironically (especially with Axl's vocals) and I prefer Robin's guitars. It sounds more cohesive in 2000, probably because the playing is largely done by those who wrote the song, and was done within that decade. And it's still technically a "rough mix" so imagine the 2000 version with whatever refinements were needed then, plus a final mix and master. The same argument for Robin's solo being filler could easily be applied to Slash's work on that song as well. Slash's playing sounds pretty uninspired, but I do like his second solo, however simple it is. The only thing I like more about the 2021 version is the extended chorus towards the end of the song.
  12. I have her phone number. She is the band's "personal trainer" Or was back when Fernando was only a "tour assistant" Perhaps her roll has changed too. Seems so! Hopefully she is ok.
  13. They spelled it "Monstrocity" which may have been a typo, or them being edgy by misspelling it from the proper spelling of "monstrosity"
  14. That would make sense with Richard's playing. I did ask him if he will be recording over Bucket's parts on new material, being he is a more technical player than Slash, and he replied saying any parts of his will be his own parts.
  15. That is the part on Hard Skool I was not sure about, because the tone sounds a little different, but perhaps that's just how it was processed or mixed. With Absurd, the killswitch intro is surely Bucket, but I swear I can hear him somewhat buried in the outtro as well, it sounds like his tapping. I don't think it's present in the Bumblefoot Silkworms leak though, but it sounds similar to the weird Bucket like parts that were in the breakdown in that version of the song. Maybe they cut and pasted it there, and extended it. You may be surprised.
  16. Buckethead did have bits on Absurd and possibly Hard Skool, so him and/or Robin being present on future material isn't out of the question.
  17. If they indeed worked on a half a dozen songs or so, I think that would be a great compromise with those in addition to the untouched CD songs. Alternatively, they could give Slash and Duff the Bumblefoot/Frank treatment they got on the 2008 album where they play bits here and there and some parts larger than others.
  18. Having to re-record these CD songs is a weight upon their shoulders that they don't need. Just release them as they were/are.
  19. I doubt they would scrap the orchestration from Soul Monster, Thyme, The General, and Seven after having Marco Beltrami work on them, even if it was 20 years ago.
