I hope Richard plays leads on the album, especially on the “Buckethead songs” assuming they won’t keep all of Bucket’s leads.

I would imagine they have worked on that song between 2000-2014 unless they abandoned it, but regardless, yeah they probably would re-do the guitars

State Of Grace, at least the mix we heard also lacks a guitar solo or anything close to one, and I believe the vocals we heard were mostly, if not all placeholder. My hope is the song was completed, with a proper vocal take and a solo added by Robin, Bucket, or Richard.

At one point I think realdoll was reported to bring up GN'R too.

It would be amazing if the band accidentally submitted the 2010 CD2 (or whatever) mixed album to be mastered and released and it went out to the masses before being re-called, then re-released with the Slash and Duff parts. Then we get the best of both worlds. (Except we would probably have Bumblefoot parts in place of Buckethead parts.)

Best case is a new album announcement, next best case are a few singles, then after that more NA dates (hopefully Detroit) maybe a new album or single(s)/EP would justify more dates? That would be cool.

I believe that killswitch is Buckethead. Aside from that, you can hear Bucket's outro guitar (same as the leaked version with Bumblefoot) buried in the official version of Absurd.

If Slash needs to re-record over Robin’s solo, I wish he would have at least copied it as it was a great fit to the Village version. Will be curious how the studio mix sounds.

That would be funny if they listened to the 2000 RM1 mix of Perhaps and the 2001 mix of Atlas and someone thought it was Slash on the guitar and playing better than ever.

Not a good sign if Slash is recording guitars for those wanting more Bucket material out of the band.

GN'R is no stranger to leaking info intentionally to generate buzz. Hopefully this is that.

Imagine if Nothing was the title of the next EP, and the featured track. That would be absurd. Hard to imagine that song on a GN'R album, but there have been worse things. Nothing with some instrumental tweaks and additions, and a fitting guitar solo would be a decent B or C side.

Can't remember where, but I've heard CD2 was also more "political" which so far hasn't made sense with the Village leaks with what was there. Of course not all of the unheard songs are or were necessarily intended for CD2. Some were for the "third album" and I wouldn't be surprised if some were just abandoned altogether.
