  1. Don't forget Zodiac 13, Tonto, and Thyme/P.R.L. and Monstrocity (assuming it's not another song already listed)
  2. Zodiac 13, Berlin/Oklahoma, Quick Song and Seven are also missing from that list. However, they may have been named differently on it, or intended for CD1 (that list had Catcher and was from January of 2008) or for CD3.
  3. Axl sounded pretty good on the Perhaps sound check. I really hope the mixes of The General and Perhaps are done well, I hate to say that's my concern, and Slash's leads.
  4. I actually like Libertad more than Contraband, both are solid records though. I really wish Psycho Killer and Messages was included on the standard release. If they swapped out the weakest two songs, and had those in place, I feel it would have ranked up there with Contraband from most people's perspective.
  5. I wonder this too. I hope it’s Brain on drums, and not Frank. It would be a miracle if they keep Robin’s solo.
  6. I'd rather have Brain and Bucket as guest musicians for Sorry, If The World, Shackler's Revenge, and, most importantly, TWAT. I don't think Izzy and Steven could top the above, though I'd welcome both!
  7. Nice discovery! It reads: Melissa was also excited to have contributed musically to the band’s two newest released singles “ABSUЯD” and “Hard Skool”, which coincidentally feature Brain on drums as well. The band is currently on another world tour, with more to come in 2023. The last bit is interesting. "The band is currently on another world tour, with more to come in 2023." I doubt the above means more world tours for 2023, it's safe to say more music, or additional singles. Could it mean additional shows? That's a damn shame if Brain really is playing on that Hard Skool... did Frank get any credits? I'm sure Brain's drum track needed some "fitting" to Slash and Duff's parts, not to mention they cut the old intro to the song, unless they did that prior to the NITL version, which I doubt. It's bad enough Slash is going to re-work and re-record existing CD-era material. But we also have to deal with horrible mixing and mastering, unless they have improved since the first two singles in that department.
  8. While that's possible (for Silkworms) I do believe they recorded a version of Silkworms with the now remoded vocal parts (chorus) we initially heard live over 20 years ago, which are missing from the Bumblefoot CD era leak and the eventual released Absurd. We have the 2000 mix and the Bumblefoot leak, and the released version, and Axl said in 2008 the chorus is gone, referring to the live versions, but maybe he was referring to both the live versions we heard up to that point, and the unreleased studio version. My guess is the Bumblefoot leaked mix is from 2006-2008. So, between 2001-2005, Axl may have recorded additional vocals for Silkworms, we know he recorded vocals for other songs during that time. My ideal Silkworms mix would be similar to the Bumblefoot one, but with the omitted vocals present, and all of Bucket's work and no Bumblefoot. Such a mix very well could exist, or be similar to what I described with the old unnecessarily long intro. Josh's drums on the 2000 Village mix kicks major ass.
  9. Don't forget Seven, Tonto, Berlin, and Zodiac 13
  10. I hope they play Scraped. Don't you try and stop us now I just refuse Don't you try and stop us now Because I just won't let youuuuuuu Or Shackler's Revenge. Richard is going to have to do most of the lead guitar on that one.
  11. A Marco Beltrami interview would be cool too, any idea in case he hasn't been asked. He worked on some CD songs, and unreleased ones such as Thyme, The General, Seven, and Soul Monster (then Leave Me Alone)
  12. I enjoyed listening to this, thank you! I hope if he's interviewed subsequently, that he opens up more about Chinese Democracy, including CD2 related things, how many songs were "finished", info about unheard tracks, etc. I'm hoping this initial interview "primed" him to ask the big questions next time about the CD era. It was obnoxious when Tommy got pretty political, but that's how it is sometimes with these people, a bit distant from reality or actually grasping the history behind both parties. (Biden doesn't exactly have the best history with minorities, not that Trump is an angel, it's a shit show all around) Now I got political. Anyways, nice interview, congrats on the baby boy, he was a great co-host.
  13. Can't wait to hear Atlas and Oh My God with Slash's loud noodling guitar, low drums and Axl vocals, and Duff's bass coming in and out through the song. Edit: Clarification, the above as singles in support of the 2023 tour.
  14. I believe Bucket plays towards the end as the song is ending. That is entirely possible!
  15. The other 6-8 songs on the eventual album will be mixes from 2014 or before, featuring guitar work by Buckethead and Robin Finck.
  16. Makes the most sense for the time, the general consensus amongst the hardcores here it’s Robin. Robin was also credited for the official Hard Skool. The other possibility is Paul Tobias.
  17. One of the Better leaks actually made me a GN'R fan. I was never fond of IRS or Riad, or even the title track, but still listen to them from time to time. IRS is definitely my least favorite. I must say I am a sucker for Scraped. I love that song, has some great guitars and Axl vocals (though the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but perhaps that was the intent like with If The World)
  18. I agree, Atlas starts out strong then falls a bit into a mediocre song. Sometimes I'll get into it, but it's missing something. It's a fine B-side, as is (or was) from the 2001 mix, which seems to be the best we have at this point. (RM1 is also pretty good, additional guitar track on it) Apparently a newer version is out there with Bumblefoot, mixed similarly to the OMG, Silkworms, and Going Down leaks with Bumblefoot with his guitar in one channel, the rest of the song in the other (mono). I don't have it, but apparently a few do but it hasn't leaked.
  19. I thought this thread was about that initially! I hope they keep the 8-bit intro to Atlas on the official version.
  20. 2012 Detroit. My dad and I met Bumblefoot before the show. Up Close & Personal tour. Axl was feeling sick, but him and the band was on fire. November Rain stopped before the final solo. Axl talked about how Detroit should be the next place to be used to shoot pornos, apparently at the time there was a law requiring condoms to be used in porn in some country/state. I wish I asked Bumblefoot about CD2, but all I managed to ask was an autograph on my ticket and I complimented him on his hat. Shackler's Revenge sounds amazing live. It was also cool hearing Civil War, as they didn't play that in 2011 when we saw them in Chicago. I wish they would play Detroit again, the last time was 2021, which we also saw. And the 2016 show, which was also great.
  21. Imagine if Axl had a Ferrari or something on display or for sale and left a copy of CD2 in it.
  22. Better and TIL are my top two favorite CD songs.
