  1. Can't remember where, but I've heard CD2 was also more "political" which so far hasn't made sense with the Village leaks with what was there. Of course not all of the unheard songs are or were necessarily intended for CD2. Some were for the "third album" and I wouldn't be surprised if some were just abandoned altogether.
  2. I enjoyed the second Sixx A.M. album too. Subsequent ones didn't seem half as good for some reason.
  3. Ain’t getting shit in the US. I used to get all kinds when this initially started.
  4. Right, but the vocals from Eye On You recycled for Hard Skool could have been placeholder for Eye On You, then re-used instead of discarded. Eye On You may very well have been completed. All it really needed was a little more instrumentation, a guitar solo, a little more lyrics and it would be a fun full song. Not bad as it was either, just different.
  5. We know Pele was wrong because of Scraped, Sorry, Better, Blood In The Water, some of the leaked remixes with post-'99 vocals. On top of that, we have members and associates of the band stating Axl recorded vocals well into the 2000s, and even beyond 2008.
  6. The Crash Diet with AI Axl vocals is impressive. (It can be found on YouTube) It's late '80s to early '90s Axl, so it would sound off on a CD or more modern era GN'R song. I'm sure with the CD isolated vocal tracks, an AI Axl of his different singing styles on that album could be fashioned. Weird times, for sure. Not sure how I feel about it.

Yes. I've been a believer for a while.
  8. At least Ashba handled Robin and even Bucket's solos well, when he played them. I agree with those who mention Richard playing the Bucket solos.
  9. That's awesome they played TWAT! What a welcome rarity.
  10. It would be interesting to hear The General live in full before we get to hear the full studio recording.
  11. There was a considerable gap between the release of Absurd and Hard Skool. Hopefully, this time they will have physical media around the same time.
  12. I think GN'R's objective to obtain those discs was because they were their property, they were rough mixes, burned on CDs from a lossy source and not master tapes that could be used outside of reference only, as stated on the discs. Maybe it served as a small reminder that they have a lot of material, but I don't think getting them back was much more, if anything more than damage control. I'm sure they had all of it in the vault, in various forms and backups.
  13. Andy Wallace mixed the versions of the songs that leaked in 2008. (I believe those mixes were from 2003-2004) I'm sure he mixed many more. He was probably credited on the 2008 album, but I don't think he did the final mixes we hear on the album. Bob Ludwig mastered the album. Mastering and mixing are not the same.
  14. You can hear some of Bucket's bits in Absurd (especially the intro) and some in the outro as well. CD2 as it existed 10 years ago, also had Bucket and Robin present, much like he was on the 2008 album, with Bumble throughout. No DJ Ashba.
  15. Unless they re-mix (to correct) Absurd and Hard Skool and properly master them, I hope they leave them off a future release, unless they plan on mixing new songs in the same awful fashion... which would be upsetting. I hope Slash's influence on The General, Perhaps, etc. doesn't take it down a notch or two. I would also like it if half or more of an eventual new album has songs completely untouched by the NITL lineup. Songs like Shackler's Revenge, Slash wouldn't fit well anyways. I wonder what will become of the Bucket-heavy tracks.
  16. Don't forget Zodiac 13, Tonto, and Thyme/P.R.L. and Monstrocity (assuming it's not another song already listed)
  17. Zodiac 13, Berlin/Oklahoma, Quick Song and Seven are also missing from that list. However, they may have been named differently on it, or intended for CD1 (that list had Catcher and was from January of 2008) or for CD3.
  18. Axl sounded pretty good on the Perhaps sound check. I really hope the mixes of The General and Perhaps are done well, I hate to say that's my concern, and Slash's leads.
