  1. I have never really enjoyed Duff's voice. It's too guttural. But it seems to me he toned this down for Loaded, and I quite like The Taking album.
  2. Just a note, we had both of these in our archive over at A4D: (10) INTERVIEW AND ARTICLE INDEX (a-4-d.com) But please keep up the good work and let me know if you uncover any articles not known to us.
  3. He was quite probably thinking about Slash, yes (although the question was undoubtedly about a full reunion), which makes the choice to call the tour the Not In This Lifetime tour a brilliant joke on himself and how wrong he had been. Wrong, not deceitful. I am sorry to hear you find it hard to accept that you think Slash is better with Miles. And you are wrong, Axl has talked about new music after 2014.
  4. You're not lying if you're just wrong. He probable thought back then that it would never happen. Btw, the question to which he responded was whether there would be a reunion tour with full lineup, and so far that hasn't happened nor was it ever the intention to bring Steven back for a full tour, I think.
  5. At least very rarely. This also means that we won't get a biography from him as long as the touring goes on.
  6. That is a good question. What are people defending about Guns N' Roses? I really want to know.
  7. Of all the guys in the GN'R universe, Axl is one of those less likely to present blunt lies, in my opinion. He might be wrong on when he will be able to do things, but that is not him deliberately telling lies, that is just him bring wrong.
  8. They are not bad at all. Just as vanilla as rock can get. I like some edge to music. And Dave Grohl is a much better drummer than singer/guitarist. He is a good song writer, though.
  9. He is a great guy and I hope he can put things behind him. Any animosity is purely onedirectional.
  10. Sure, I didn't mean to say it was mainly Geffen stopping the funding that resulted in the release. But maybe it, together with other factors, sped things up a bit. I mean, Axl always wanted to get the album out, with no funding he had a strong economical incentive to speed things up.
  11. Yes, Geffen actually sent out a press release in early 2004 stating they had stopped funding it and that Axl would have to pay to get it finished himself. There are indications that with no one funding it anymore, the pace was kicked up a bit. Two years later the album was completed, more or less.
  12. I was laughing at the irony of making all that effort to collect interviews and make them readily available and still people forget about it Not at you, no, no.
  13. Seriously? Here it is at A4D with transcripts by @Blackstar (10) 1994.06.19 - "Guns N' Roses: The Photographic History" documentary (a-4-d.com) And here's my writeup of the book release: (10) 16. JANUARY-JULY 1993: THE SKIN N' BONES TOUR; END OF AN ERA (a-4-d.com)
  14. You know, John and Axl had a fall-out in the 2000s and it is possible they never made up: (10) 24. NOVEMBER 2002-APRIL 2004: THE TOUR BREAKS DOWN, THE END OF GUNS N' ROSES? (a-4-d.com)
  15. We actually have a new pet, a crested gecko. And my youngest daughter has started riding, and wants her own horse now.
  16. The only thing you need to know is that you can't trust anything MSL said and hence you can disregard any argument that is based on anything coming from him. He was a known and self-professed scammer and liar.
  17. Hey, congratulations! Brave, sure, you are are kind of great so I am sure you won't regret it.
  18. What!?! What are you going to do? Why did you quit?
  19. This is definitely one of the worst travel experiences I have had, and it is ongoing. Started with having to check out from the hotel at 1am and then deal with taxi scoundrels, then the Israeli interrogation, then a cancelled flight and 7 hour waiting, then lost luggage, and now further delays. Thanks to @Muddyfor at least engaging me in an interesting discussion.
  20. Was picked out for an interrogation just now at the airport in Tel Aviv. Never experienced anything similar. Basically had to tell my whole life story and was asked again and again about details about my company. It probably went on for 40 minutes. It didn't help it was a 2 in the morning. I wonder why on earth I was picked. I usually float through security as if it was nothing. Then Israel is a weird place. It has to be. Only a few weeks ago the iron dome had to shoot down missiles sent from Gaza towards Tel Aviv. Crazy.
